the problem with chinese speakers are that you lose the mids so if you use them they will be spoling the vocals. Now there are some chinese units which are good but its still a risk

as mentioned in another fellows post, you should try and get a pioneer or jvc or kenwood system from the market. Just make sure that it has rear camera option and blue tooth. It should not cost you more than 25k if you look for a used model. A lot of Yaris ativx owners have installed bigger headunits and their factory units are avialble in market, they are made by kenwood and are excellent value for money.

I myself use a chinese headunit, but that is becuase I was able to make it work with my steering wheel controls and with the dongle for apple carplay, I have 2 amplifiers in the car so sound quality doesnt take a hit. if u want to go the chinese way you need to get an amp. The menu for chinese headunits and their overall setup is very cumbersome, if not for the apple car play it would have been totaly unusable.

Much better than chinese in every single way besides the "shashka" of a huge oversized screen. In pakistan there are a lot of used or new old models being sold for much cheaper prices than USA and are still leagues above chinese trash. If you want the top end pioneer screen with wireless AA/Carplay they can go to more than 100k locally too.

I am not sure about feature block when moving, as far as I know that is mostly in the proper OEM stuff that come in western or japanese cars. Local OEM screens are not proper OEM, they are basically better made chinese screens with local software specifically for the pakistani market, mostly tracking world stuff being sold at obscene prices. Proper toyota/honda screens are much better as you can see in western reviews of toyotas and hondas.

What were you guys expecting it to be priced same or even lower than the outgoing model when it's got more to offer.

Let's compare the base model with outgoing base model which I think was selling for about 24.5 lacs.

For extra 1.5 lacs here is what you get other than a newer, bigger and better looking car.

Now charging 2 lacs for just the CVT in 1.2 LS CVT does not make sense, I agree. Other than the gear box everything else appears to be the same. Also another 1 lacs for engine upgrade to 1.5 itr and cruise control seems a bit much. I remember when upgrading to 1.5 ltr engine only costed 20 k for the city.

And yes aspire is a bit pricy but for those who are looking into getting Aspire, muft ka mashwra ye hai k don't spend that much money on a car that drives like a lifafa. Better get a bit used Civic or Corolla at this price.

Going through this thread and trying to gauge how far honda has come with the City line up, We’ve had two of them i.e. a steermatic and the SX8 manual but the one worth mentioning is the the SX8(2000). What a beautiful car with the absolutely lovely engine it had although a 1.3 but the acceleration, the low driving position and how well it handled is something I still remember.

I really wish they would go back to that suspension setup, that car handled beautifully because of double wishbone front and fully independent rear suspension.

The New Honda City will be a fuel guzzler in its competing class, with seriously high regular maintenance cost. walk around 3S ask for basic cosmetics as in rear light & front light which are exposed and magnet to 'sir ghalti ho gai ghareeb admi houn' class gathering around your car when they strike.

This has a hidden pretext. All your points will be true if and only if outgoing City was worth its own price. Wo khud overpriced thee.
Adding these features should have added minimum change in price or at least not crossed Yaris prices.

People with thinking abilities will always question strategies of car manufacturers in Pak.

Sir when Motorways are planned, the sole purpose is not to find shortest path between two cities, to get maximum benefits, major cities/area are touched to create a better road network.

Major cities on GT road were already connected to RWP and Lahore, While Faisalabad, Sargodha, Bhera, Khushab, Mianwali, Soon Sekesar area were almost disconnected due to worse road network. It used to take 8-9 hours from SGD/KHB to reach rwp in those days.

Motorway created huge difference in life of whole central Punjab area in every possible way, be it a medical emergency to economic growth or travelling in general.

So those extra 90-100 KMs really worth it. those who are very careful about fuel can always choose GT road and enjoy Mian G ke daal on way as well.

Shouldn't the fuel cost be around the same whether if travelling on GT road or motorway due to better fuel economy possible on motorway?

I haven't been on GT road in a long while but always heard that the road conditions are bad and there's heavy traffic there.
