Well to be fair, has a better engine for the 1.5 variant as well, so it's not just the leg room. Engine is one major factor in the purchase decision.

If that is true, very embarrassing for the yaris.

But yaris has boot space morebthan engine bay of alto . Each car has its utility. Alto is meant for urban drive with good fuel economy and yaris is meant for urban and long route drives.

I am genuine buyer , I had 2020 1.3 City and for a short term assignment I had go out of country hence I sold my city 2020.
I was planning to buy Yaris Ativ 1.5 though I did not like its shape and was waiting for city. 6th gen arrived and disappointed me in terms of price & less safety features as compared to Yaris else I am fine.
I asked my brother to cancel booking & book Yaris, He visited dealerships for both yaris & City and recommended me to stick to City 1.5 Aspire but he asked me to change color from silver to white.
With above scenarios & increase in $ rate, what do you recommend?

1. Cancel booking as delivery is in Feb and there is high chance of price increase.
2. Can I change color without impacting delivery timeline further? Anyone changed color ?
3. Book Yaris as it has less chance of price increase and better delivery timeline.

Because shark fin antenna and chrome handles add to look and acoustic shield doesnt thats why latter wasnt advertised. I am sure it is there in city

Book Yaris as it has less chance of price increase and better delivery timeline.

If you want a car asap then go for yaris. You can always sell it later on profit to go for honda city it that is so worth it

i have a 1.5 manual civic, 23 years old, very very PUNCHY acceleration... still booked an ags alto. mentally prepared for that lack of instant acceleration kick... but it was a necessity...

i sat in a yaris recently.. i am very big and bulky. i fit very comfortably in my 96 civic.

in the yaris passenger seat i had to twist my legs to sit. my knees were touching the glove compartment.
this is a similar case in the vitz as well.

the interior design uses very round bulky shapes, causing poor utilization of interior space.

compared to this the ancient straight back taxi alto, has a very roomy interior and a very tiny exterior. mira is also like this.

All jdm keis are spacious. I once sat in a honda none and got surprised by its spacious interior. Pkdm alto is same as 8th generation (current ) jdm alto.

Yar performance chala kar pata chalti hai. If the engine and transmission compliment each other. Hp and torque pe we cant say anything in this car segment and close numbers

Buy yaris. Once city delivery become decent time and you still want to spend money for city sell yaris and buy city

Absolutely zero chance... these auto manufacturers are leeches... and Atlas is in its own league... they haven't put in tweeters which cost far less than acoustic windshield and shamelessly mentioned that "Tweeters are optional" ...

If CITY had an acoustic windshield... ATLAS would have cried out loud to let the whole world know about it....

Yes I did. And I am saying that City has more features. 4 speakers that perform better than the 6 on Yaris. Kind of adding to what you are saying.

I was very skeptical about the City when Honda revealed the prices. However, after looking at the car, seems like all the 1.5 variants might even be worth the extra price as compared to Yaris. Depends on the buyer though. Price is more important for some, and for others, the other aspects of the car outweigh the price. Overall, City launch seems to be not bad.

Both civic and city should have them. Only someone from atlas can tell better if they didnt advertise it or this is not present un their cars in first place

Lolz City has 3.5 liter V6 and Civic has 4.8 liter V8 which Honda did not tell about. Expecting this from a company who even mentions a tiniest little thing if they have it. Please don't behave like a true fan boy.

Its not about fan boyism. Acoustic noise is so minimal in civic that you really cant tell the difference. Also honda engins are refined motors and you can barely hear them in the cabin esp on idling rpms.

What about road noise & wind noise at high speeds? Please don't try to justify you won't be getting anything out of it. Please call a spade a spade.
