Tbh yaris(not actual yaris 4th geberation but the vios rebranded that we have here) only sells because of its toyota badge. If it was not for the copyright issues, you could literally sell anything in this market with toyota branding on it

Altis 1.6 was in launched in 2014 not 2021 your All new old generation City i s Launched in 2021 so please don't try to justify Atlas by supporting them for launching outdated model with outdated features.

Yes it's an old generation but it's the same era of technology as Yaris is, just because Yaris was introduced late here and was by chance the current generation at that time doesnt magically makes it more modern than 6th Gen city. Internationally Yaris has competed with 6th Gen city not the 7th Gen, even in India go search the comparison between city and yaris there youll find the 6th one.
The only backdrop of this city is thats it's overpriced, baki jisne bhi asal mein showroom ka chakar lagaya they fell for the car, obv its way more aesthetic and has way more to offer than 5th gen.
Toh yai "grace" aur "old gen" ka rona abh log band karein yeh Pakistan hai yahan konsi cheez updated nai jai swift corolla elantra tuscon etc all are outdated models. Cheezon ko Pakistani standards ke hisab sey compare karein nah ke international.

That’s some horrible justification. Corolla was replaced last year in most of the asian market and pakistani upgrade is just a year late. All other stuff was on part in terms of features model was synced since 2014. And car was on sale. Elantra still has no RHD version available in new gen. Always do some basic research and then support the crap. We should not call all gobar as halwa without thinking. Its just an obsolete car by even Pakistani standards at this time.

Btw for city, its 2021 3rd quarter for start of delivery and then most people will get in second quarter of 2022. Atlas management knew the mental level of fans and thus exploited it. Galat ko galat to kaho… baqi ur choice whatever u wanna buy.

Well Dear, This mindset is the real problem... as long as we continue accepting low grade products ... we will get low grade products..

I know it won't happen with the general public mindset... but if whole of Pakistan stops purchasing obsolete models/stripped down variants for just 2 months ... to yehi manufacturers apko latest new gen products offer karain gay.. its that simple..

Can you get a brand new Samsung Note 9 with warranty in the market? No .. Why? There is no demand ... people aren't will to pay a hefty amount for an outdated product... but when it comes to cars we are not only happily accepting ages old pathetically stripped down models but also paying hefty amount as own money to own these old relics.

You can't blame businesses ... it doesn't work like that..Businesses would always go for maximum profits... market dynamics force their hand but here they feel no pressure from the end users at all...

So unless We start valuing the worth of our hard earned money & rights - we will be getting screwed ... over & over ,again & again.

Honda has made a cheap move by again launching an obsolete model; that too is stripped down in comparison to the international variant.

Toyota also did a similar thing with Yaris; skipping the facelift & many many features; but at least they included the updated engine (2017)... which sadly still perform way below the main competition.

Note 9 ya S 20 bhi abh lakhon mein baat gai. As much as Im against it it's the truth.
6th gen city is an overpriced crap but its gold in Pakistan unfortunately.
But yeh fazool ka rona tabh hazam nai hota tabh city ko outdated keh ke Yaris ko modern kehte. You do know internationally they belong to the same era of technology. current Yaris in Pak competes with .6th gen city globally not 7th gen. Apki market mein jo competitor hai woh bhi essi era sey belong karta hai. Criticize toh mein bhi price aur 2 security nah hone pe karta but yeh "Outdated" interms of Pakistani market is wrong on so many levels. Infact Pakistani market is that backward that 7th gen is ahead of its time

Bhai in city driving you are mostly using the low to mid range of rpms and in that range yariss engine is better than city's engine because of relatively better low end torque. City's engine only become better when you are asking for more , otherwise yaris's engine is very good. I think that yaris is ugly but as we have learnt on this thread that looks are subjective but safety features are either there or not , the essential features of vsc and HA are missing in the beautiful city. A car with modified height and lack of traction and vsc , can they be any more irresponsible in current day and age?

I would not even recommend my worst enemy to buy it , life and money both are important.For the same reason ,dont buy altis 1.6.Not worth the hard earned money.

Nothing wrong with buying power..people who can afford can buy anything. No car is for lower middle class nowadays.

People are just fool. I booked city and was worried who will pay on money:) went to dealership and saw bunch of clowns .. aiii vtec.. honda lo g sold. So easy. Apologies but even this group has some hardcore fans who doesn’t even consider an obsolete featureless product as a problem . Some said passenger cars doesn’t need trc :(. Atlas knows that a decade can be passed with this launch.
