Am I reading this correctly, 88hp paired to a cvt!? What kind of backwards move this is. Even a 660cc engine produces 68hp (1.2 should atleast be 100+) and on top of that cvt no amount of duck tail spoilers can remedy this disaster! The only good option is either a manual 5th gen or 1.5 cvt, and here i thought xli 89hp was bad.

lol. Yaris 1330 cc produces 97 hp and you are asking 100 plus from 1199 cc. Yes, xli 89hp was too bad but still going strong and selling way above invoice price. This nation really loves underpowered but chaki wala chatra type wadi gadi cars.

Matlab ap jo 1.5 october aur aspire January keh rahe hain wo may mein hone wali bookings ka keh rahe hain? Aspire ki delivery October se shoro ho rahi hai aur 1.5 ki September se aur 1.2 ki august se. Mein ne 2 july ko book ki thi. March ki date mili .. phir khud hi January ho gia fortunately

Most people doesn’t care for immediate acceleration. Corolla 1.3 was underpowered but the lower end response was good enough and log buhat naptay hain. I remember i always had hard time on my aspire1.3 catching up gli on gt road due to same reason. City used to respond after 3000 rpm and tab tak agli brake lag jati thi

no N/A 660 cc engine produces 68HP. Turbochared produce a max of 64HP on stock boost. PKDM alto has 48HP engine but since body weight is less already that is why it doenst feel underpowered. And power to weight ratio wise 1.2 city is almost same as yaris 1.3.
And xli/gli had 84HP 2NZ-FE engine in a 1385KG body, that is what made it underpowered in all rpm bands, slightly less in intial ones due to gearing ratio

LOL, did you even press accelerator at all? Or you must be really light foot driver who would wait for ages to get the response from the engine. Or maybe your city aspire was not on correct grade engine/transmission oil. Bring any decent driver in both cars and xli/gli wont be able to catch a properly lubed city 1.3 in any gear/rpm. Gli/xli cant do anything against a 1 litre wagonR, city 1.3 was too much of a catch for it

84bhp to be precise(that too if it was running on correct grade engine oil) and add 15% transmission loss on top of it, you would be getting roughly 70 WHP in a car weighing 1400 KG!

Aspire cvt. Booked on 2nd July. Initially delivery month was march. Then someone in this forum who also booked in 1st week of july reported that his tentative delivery has changed to January from march. When i checked mine on website of honda, my delivery month was also changed to jan from march. Please check and confirm your delivery month online, hopefully it will be changed to Dec/Jan.

I just checked online. Booked on 14th june 1.5 Aspire CVT and its still showing delivery in Feb. That's strange.

I booked on 17th May and got delivery for October for aspire cvt..

I think initial booked cars will not have any further reduction in delivery time. But May Atlas has increase city production so later booked cars revised timelines reduced by 2 months.

Civic delivery is available for December now. So it means atlas has producing more cities.

Same toyota did with yaris. Increase its production and corolla peoduction was reduced... so yaris is now available on 30 days delivery.

That’s true, they need to bring in newer gen in 5 years maximum otherwise they will start losing out again. I remember when Yaris was launched it out sell City and Civic combined for 3 consecutive months, didn’t really follow the sales figures after that.

Atlas messed up big time with the pricing though, I remember when I got Altis 1.6 the difference between that car and Aspire 1.5 was similar to price difference between the current Yaris 1.5 and City Aspire, and after the facelift of City the price difference will be even greater, probably. The only advantage City has is rear AC vents, the cruise control and retractable mirrors can be installed in Yaris for hardly 25-30k. Only deal breaker would probably be the looks, which again is subjective but I definitely think that City looks better, barring its rear lights.

If Honda had launched 7th gen at this price, I definitely would’ve sold my Altis 1.6 and booked the 7th gen City, really disappointed

City ka lower end buhat khasi tha bhai. After 3000 behtreen thi. Same feeling comes with oriel 1.8. Initial lag is frustrating vs rolla 1.8 . I think its all about how the engines are designed

Even my old cultus had a better throttle response i agree absolutely honda deliberately puts this much lag because they know their customers will put the foot down and kill themselves.
