A bit of a downgrade from 2015 Grande. If your grande has cruise, steering buttons n immobiliser then a major downgrade.

Grande is quite cheap to maintain. So, what are your expenses?
Only in motorway fuel economy the 1.5 City would be better.

On grande you’ll get like 14 km/L but on City at same drive rpm you’ll get around 16 km/L to max 17.

It’s not a huge difference if your motorway travel is not massive.

Within city both will have similar averages. Maybe 1km/L difference.

Otherwise oil n oil filter change are needed in both n roughly cost same.

Despite keeping it maintained including timely change of oil and filters, im unable to get an average of more than 7 or 8 kmpl no matter light or heavy foot and even getting hi octane sometimes. Its for family use mostly within city and would be driven on motorway occasionally, and in the case of City 1.5 ive heard it gives around 14 15 kmpl in city so it wont be a bad trade i guess. Plus now its driven 200k km almost, so it keeps asking for newer parts and more on and off visits to the dealership. My only concern was the built and paint quality of City about which i havent heard any good review yet.

Since fuel economy is your issue then I would suggest a manual car. Automatic transmission will give max 12~13 in city driving.

Yesterday i got a quotation of 350k for suspension and rack from toyota which i know can be minimised by getting it done from somewhere out but it has to be sorted out in either way. it also keeps giving out issues like rusting panels and underbody , blocked channels of windows and issues with the sunroof and u know similar rants of a 7 year old car. So I think its better to get a 0 meter car and enjoy it for the next 4 5 years with no similar issues.

Then better to replace it with a new car. City 1.5 Aspire CVT should be enough for your needs.

In my opinion, fuel economy of grande and city is similar on motorway but in city, city gives around 14 and grande gives around 11. So its opposite actually as per your opinion.

Honda City aspire is a good car in drive n comfort you just need to get good tyres for it will be a safe option for next 4 5 years with cvt n options it has for city drive with a decent fuel average

Bakwas gari ha grande. Itna bara size, parking k hr jaga issues han. Tung tung roads and galia han hamari. Bikar mileage. Ap 7 mileage k sath kese ya gari chala rahe tha. Bari himat ha bhai ki. Petrol is so expensive

Some good news here
After 8 months in making and agonising wait Alham Du Lillah our family was blessed with an Aspire CVT today, though one month premature she appear healthy.
Delivered in Honda Point at 10:15 hours on 5th January.

Names under consideration, being CVT we may call her Sweety, any other suggestions welcome.
Got her future protected with comprehensive health insurance before taking her home.
Do have some plans to dress her up in the coming days, will keep updated.

Off-topic but Grande bakwaas gari hai? There's something wrong with @usamayasin360's car, otherwise a clean, maintained Grande easily gives 12-13 kmpl in city and ~16-17 kmpl on motorway if you drive sensibly.
Grande's suspension has literally no comparison with City's suspension.

If you have an issue with your Grande's FE, I would suggest you to get its CVT fluid changed if you haven't done so already(it depends on your car mileage).

If driving styles of both remain same then city won't give 14 15 in city.

Likely around 12 real world mileage, not driving like a snail .

Grande gives at least 9 even if you drive bad. If you idle a lot then avg shown on meter will drop. Don't idle for more than 10 secs if stopped turn off the car.

But overall yes fuel average will be better in both Yaris 1 5 and City .

Do consider Yaris as well it's built for our roads. Just shape is slightly less attractive than City.

Grande has a very good fuel economy , you need to get your car checked.

Bro it has been changed twice, 2 lakh chal chuki ha meri gari. Undoubtedly, corolla is far more superior in all terms, but the problem is ke jahan mein rehta hun, yaha pollution bohat ha aur water ppm boht high ha so corrosion ka masla rehta ha is liye isay change karna hi parna ha. My concern was city’s built quality and paint which no one has been discussing here yet.

Both built quality and paint quality of City(and Atlas in general) is poorer than Grande, or any other variant of corolla. And I'm not making this stuff up, I have both cars. Rest its up to you, but rusting issue in the rear wheel wells is there in old city and likely new city as well.
Your Grande has been driven a lot so it would be best to just change with a newer, less-driven car, like a Grande 2017 model, or even a Yaris.
However it depends, if you only want a in-city use car then it might be better to get a hatchback. Of course if this is your only car, then a sedan has its advantages.
Also, since you're saying that rusting is commonplace in your area, I would suggest you to get a good underbody coating(preferably rubberized) from a reputed shop like 3M, it would help immensely no matter what car you get.
