Doesn't make sense of you to defend Yaris even when multiple people here are saying city has more leg room.
If a person is comfortable in front seat of car A, and also comfortable in front seat of car B, then that is a proper 'apples to apples' comparison. If you check the rear leg/knee room while doing this, that is a perfectly reasonable way to compare seating space.
Nobody cares about adjusting seats so they are exact x inches from front firewall, or exact y inches from rear wheel wells.
Cars have different body layouts, and different usages of interior spaces. Keeping that in view, the 'comfort comparison' is certainly a valid one.
Yaris is a good car, but it has its demerits and you should accept that. Blind love or fanboying for a product benefits no one, least of all the end customers/users.
You are a scientist, and I believe the basis of science is to change your opinion when dissenting or contrary evidence is presented, like the case here.
