TBH cars abroad are maintained about the same as here. Some people in the US don't even care about changing their oil, cars are very common there so they aren't looked upon as assets. On the other hand, some people there will do a full suspension overhaul after 100k miles.
Its all a spectrum, in Pakistan as well as internationally. You just have to go through the hassle of searching for a good, well-maintained car. And while yes, I think that's a longer and more technical process than just going to the dealership, in the end if you are successful you can easily get a much better car than a 0 meter.
