This 7th generation news in market by dealers and others main aim is to make potential customers, " WAIT & DIVERT ".. SO, people in market wait and don't buy a competitor product. Although it will be 6th most probably, it will obviously take away its market share from Yaris and Alsvin. You can call such news spread intentionally especially in current world of social media. I hope and wish, I am wrong and we welcome 7th generation City.

Last year when i was deciding whether to go for city or yaris, I was trying my level best to extract as much news as possible regarding the new city. First it was February, then it became March.....as i couldnt wait that long hence i opted for Yaris. But there was one news that i got from a couple of sources(repeatedly):
Honda will continue 1.3 in the same shape and change the shape for 1.5 and if introduced the 1.0 turbo version.

this is what i heard from a couple of reliable sources but then again they arnt the ones making Final decisions at Honda atlas and this feedback is from September/October 2020. So lets just wait and see....

That's exactly the dilemma I was in early this year and then went for Yaris 1.3 Ativ.(JUL-2020) Do not regret the decision as have so far found Yaris to be reasonably good and far better than the existing City.BTW the car I replaced was a City 2013.My sources have clearly said 1.6 generation will come and booking will start in July for delivery SEP/OCT 21.
I may add, had 7th generation confirmed last year I may have waited as that would have been a superior car than Yaris.

Internationally available 7th gen, yes, THAT would have been my first choice as well.

seems like Pakistan will get 7th Gen city when the word shifts to 8th or 9th gen.
Since a discontinued 6th gen will follow the footsteps of its 12 year old predecessor

I think 6th gen doesn’t look bad and considering it’s still being offered in some countries doesn’t make it a bad choice
It’s a good upgrade over current city that I hope gets changed one way or another of course 7 th gen is better but I personally won’t be disappointed on a 6th gen launch

6th generation is still in production and will remain in production along side 7th in overseas market . so, we cant paste that same label as "OLD GENERATION".

Honda Atlas also follow Honda Indonesia for their product lineup and development, Indonesians are still having the GM6, the 6th generation.

I'm still wondering who gave them the ridiculous idea to unofficialy spread fake news of 7th Gen. One does this when they aren't sure of success of their product
Obv 6th gen looks pheeke compared to 7th one, people who were expecting it (including myself) now wouldn't settle for less. If not Honda maybe I'll consider 1.6 altis or upcoming cerato now. 6th gen is difficult to digest now

Sir, it is made and sold along side 7th in India and will continue. It remains as current in production model/ generation.

Bhai your right but we shouldnt defend Altas decision in any way, 12 saal ke baad woh phir eik purani generation agle 5 saal kelye (maybe more) chalaein ge.
There's already limited options for those who had budget between 28-34. All I see these days are SUVS, no new entrants among sedans aside from alsvin. 7th gen in that price bracket wouldve been perfect

Sir, I have written on the poor and incompetent behavior of Honda Atlas all the times and that includes City. I have written even on SUV segment they are missing on.

I have never ever favored Atlas on their stupid decisions. I am just sharing facts.

The new buying trend of compact SUV like sportage etc has already damaged Honda & Toyota sales.

Isn't the plateform of the 7th gen different from the current gen and with increased size, it is bigger than reborn.
they won't be putting out the 7th gen, last time city was that close to civic it took civics market share (3rd gen city), I think.
So welcome city 6th gen. I always feel that even the 6th gen was just a mega facelift of the 5th gen.

GN1 /7th is on the new platform. GM6/ GM5 are on same older generation platform
