Okay .
i used all three gears while going to Kalam and coming back from there. I used S while climbing on Kalarkahar and then coming back from Kalam to Bahrain I used D S and L also. L was used for decreasing the car's speed or engine braking on Kalams tight roads, then when there was space I shifted to S and then D. S and L keeps the car under control and you don't have to use the brakes too much.
I also used L for climbing the bad areas which start nearly immediately from Bahrain while travelling towards Kalam. The first area was very bad and very very dangerous and this is the bottle neck due to which it took me 5 hours to come from kalam to this last (bad / broken) road. This point is about 5-10 km from Bahrain (I am forgetting actually). There are 11 broken points (or there were before the flood).
Right now you cannot reach Kalam or atleast what some friends told me. If anyone has any new news about it then please share.
My 1.2 CVT is giving me just 11.5 in the city, but I got around 14 km round trip when I visited Kalam . Kalam is around 650 km from model town.
People / owners of Yaris are saying that their Yaris CVT gives them 17 on the long and around 14 in the city .
On hearing the above I have a bad taste in my mouth and I feel that buying an expensive car (honda city) which was comparatively more expensive than yaris was a very bad Idea.
