my 1.2 cvt is run around 2,000 because i had visited kalam in it for testing purposes. on the first broken area after Bahrain and even in L gear, it climbed with great difficulty and also the race was not building up to create more power. there were 5 people in the car total and i had changed my booking from MT to CVT because of some back problem and now I am regretting it.

The average of city driving is 11.5 using a very very light foot and for Kalam trip it gave me around 14 km per litre. And I am still regretting my decision to get a cvt instead of manual

Should've went for 1.5 CVT basic. Doesn't cost much more than 1.2 CVT and you get a much better engine and some extras. Even my 1.5 CVT seemed to slightly struggle in the very high climb jhika galli road from murree motorway. 1.2 would be a real pain.

Manual in those areas is even more difficult to drive with especially with an underpowered engine like the 1.2.

Hello. Anybody noticed their ground clearance reduced from when they bought new? Mine appears to be. Its 20k driven now and will be a year old in November. I am using 185 tyres 32psi pressure but it looks less than new. My main use is motorway with 4 people and luggage

1.2 MT getting 13.5 in city at 40 to 50 speed and 18 on motorway at 100-110speed.
You will get better mileage after first oil change.

Have you directly compared with another new city? If in direct comparison it looks lowered, get your car checked at dealer.

Well , had i purchased 1.2 manual instead of cvt, i would have gotten 20 km at least on highway (speed less than or touching 90).

I can get 16 with brv manual in lahore city but problem is in automatic.

I would like to point out that I had corolla 1.3 2008 early model and it produced 84 hp. I went on it to kalam also and did not have much of a problem climbing it. City 1.2 produces 89 hp and is stronger than corolla 1.3 . But on opting for automatic cvt , this has basically killed the increase in hp as cvt uses 18% hp of the motor. Normal auto matic uses 12% only.

By the way on a speed breaker behind my street, i found that my city was touching the speed breaker now but not previously. Total running of my 1.2 is around 2200 km now. So there may be some truth here

Can anyone tell me if I can change the media unit of my cvt 1.2 with an aftermarket android unit and would it or will it effect my warrenty ?

Someone one told me that my warrenty would finish ?

Any electrical or mechanical alteration voids the warranty

No, after market androids are grip to grip fit. It won't void your warranty.

Chipping of a wire to give reverse camera power might void your warranty.

But if because of installing a android your cars suspension has a problem. It obviously won't be void.

Yaris 1.3 CVT GLI Owners also faced similar problem of under power, but in toyota yaris CVT there is option for ECO mode off in its meter trip button, so when they need extra power for hilly areas ECO mode can be put off, if you can check in your meter regarding ECO mode, try to put it off and then see the difference.
Even in KIA picanto there is ECO off option available so I am sure 1.2 CVT must also have this option.

Yaris has a tiptronic gear, that makes it much easier in hilly area, even 1.5 cty cant be compared to yaris 1.3 in terms of ease in climbing. even though city has more bhp in 1.5 variant but it lacks two things that yaris has, one sports mode, two tiptronic shifter

Yaris thread has the same complaints of being under powered in hilly areas. This is due to CVT. Not an issue with the vehicles. We have to accept this reality and be happy with the ease of driving the automatic provides at the expense of power loss, slightly less fuel economy, and expensive CVT fluid changes.

Personally, I am happy with the fuel economy I am getting from 1.5 engine. I have seen good fuel mileage of 1.2 CVT on multiple YouTube videos. But in your case, it's very less.

City has sports gear setting

S is not Sports...

its most probably the second shift... it just resticts the cvt to remain at the lower tier, like L keeps it lowest tier, S allows the shifter to move up a little.. this way your car retains more power and higher RPM
