I am looking to buy a used City in a budget of around 2 million. I see that in this budget most cars available are from around 2014/15. But I basically see no difference in the shape of the car between 2012 and 2017. Can anyone guide me about whether any significant features were introduced in a specific year or are all these models basically the same? Should I just go for whichever model I can get in good condition or is there any advantage in going for a slightly newer model by increasing the budget a bit? Thanks

No difference in shape from 2009 to 2021. Only a few changes with passage of time like front and rear bumper, front grill, rear lights and interior from black to 2 tone. These r noticeable changes. Dont remember which year these changes were made. The newer model will have good resale and give u bit more money in future thats the only benefit u can get.

2014 got first facelift and 2017 got 2nd facelift. No major addition of any feature since 2009, except auto got upgraded from 4 speed to 5 speed in I think 2012. 2016 and onwards cars got a big decrease in interior build quality as honda switched plastics supplier to Suzuki's plastic supplier in 2016. 2015 and before models have much better interior quality with much less rattles and squeaks.

Also 2017 facelift gave a terrible immobilizer system just to satisfy governments requirement. The first facelift after 2014 models can be very easily face uplifted to latest for cheap. 2013 and previous models will need full rear light replacement for full uplift.

Thanks for the replies. 2014/15 models seems like the best option then. I see that 2014-16 models are listed for similar prices but 2017 onward there is a jump in price beyond my budget.

Yes and try going for 1.5 aspire. Price difference won't be much, but 1.5 is a much much better engine than 1.3. Like it would be better to go for a 2014 1.5 aspire rather than a 2015 1.3. Both should be around same price for similar condition.

TIP of the month: Spray Grease (white lithium grease WD40) on suspension parts (only metal joints) For rubber use WD40 Silicone spray , and the suspension becomes super soft. It makes so much difference that you can't believe it's same suspension.
Clean the areas, and spray on every moving joints/links of the suspension, struts etc I don't know all names just figure yourself.
edit: Avoid it on rubber as suggested by senior member, it can destroy rubber.

I recently got delivery of my 1.2 CVT. I have driven around 300 km until now and I am getting average of 9.4 km within city. Is it normal for 1.2 CVT?

Spray Grease (white lithium grease WD40) on suspension parts, and the suspension becomes super soft.

Lithuim grease is petroleum based product which will destroy the plastic and rubber parts in the long run. Do not use this type of grease to avoid destroying your and other member's suspension.

Use only silicone based grease or lubricant for rubber and plastic parts. Or you can use interior dashboard plastic protectants or water based tyre dressings as well but they wont be very durable on the suspension components during the rainy season.

Also don't go crazy by overapplying the grease or lubricant since overapplication will attract dust.

warm water ,dish washer in water spray bottle ,shake well before use ,apply it on fabric leave it for 5 sec ,clean it with micro fiber

I suggest you to use laundry detergent because it's designed to clean fabric right.
If you plan to use powder form, make sure you mix is properly. For ease of use, you can use liquid detergent like the new Surf excel that comes in liquid form.

If you have a stain on the seat, don't over saturate with the cleaning solution. Spray a small amount of cleaning solution and try to absorb it as much as possible with the towel by pressing it downwards. If you spray lots of cleaner and rub it with your towel, the stain will spread on a larger area.

Once the stain is gone or became light, then you can rub your towel back n forth as much as you want.
