Definitely corolla is a good car, the reason why I shy away from it is very high theft rate, since i am of the school of thought that buys a car on cash and does not buy insurance, thereby, my last two purchased sedans were yaris ativ x and aspire cvt.
corolla ownership experience was not good for me, had a theft attempt after seven or eight days, even though allah blessed me and the car was not stolen, but throughout the time i retained the car i was never comfortable taking it to market, at night had to put extra locks etc. etc.
with city and yaris type cars, you have a very little theft scare
