Dear Pak wheelers,

Can any one guide me, is it worthy to pay 20000 extra for Morning Mist and Meteoroid Grey Metallic colors?

Can any one share his live experience if any one opted this. How these two shades looks like in real as i haven't seen these colors in real.

No need to fully warm up the car before moving. In summers, may be wait 20-30 sec, and in winters like 40 sec to 1 min and then slowly move. Make sure not to rev up aggressively when moving from acold start. Keep the RPM under 2000 until the blue light is off.

At signals there is no harm in staying in D but i always shift to N so that my foot is free. In D, the power is going to the torque converter and cuts off in N. There is no harm in staying in D while waiting but what's the need? Shift to N, apply hand brake and khud b relax karo or gari ko b honay dain.

If signal is long i shut down the car while staying in N and applh hand brake. Better to to do it in P but then the car unlocks which I dont lile while waiting at a signal especially at night.

Lastly, when parking always apply hand brake first with N gear and then shift to P and shut off so that the locking pin doesn't bear the veh load when it is standing at a slope.

Metallic colors always look better and age slower than non metallic colors. A metallic car that is 4 years old may look as good as a 1 year old white car. The problem is color matching is difficult in case any part requires repaint. Darker colors are difficult to maintain and also absorb heat. If color matching was not an issue I would have always picked metallic color.

Actually @lonewolf1 this shifting of gears at stop is a habit of manual cars.

It’s not needed at all in automatic, what’s the point of shifting and put unnecessary wear and tear on the auto transmission by continuous shifting?

Just keep it in D when stopped at traffic signals for a short time. Otherwise if someone really wants to free their foot then P would be a safer option than N.

How about auto brake hold? Is that wise to use at signals for 30-40 sec stops?

Yeah, I agree. But then I think keeping the car in D is putting the torque converter in use unnecessarily and also might result into minor reduction in milage or may be not.

Can we install front camera in aspire CVT or has anyone already done it.. what is the location of camera and feed back etc

So the factory fitted body panels have alignment issues and huge gaps in trunk, fenders. Did anyone get these fixed under warranty? Is it a good idea?

Yesterday finally went on M2 from Lahore to Islamabad with my 1.2 CVT. I drove mostly around 120km mark. Some things I noticed.
- Car felt planted and smooth
- I was in right lane and passing by most of GLIs and other Corolla cars
- Civics and Altis kept cruising past but thats ok considering the engine size
- Previous gen Citys felt like they were doing better on the Motorway
- The car felt a little under-powered as fuel economy which is trusty around 17-19 on highway, came down to 15-16km
- To maintain economy, 100Km is ideal speed on this car imo.
- Salt range posed no hurdle on S gear.
Overall, good experience.
edit 1: - The engine felt smoother after the trip, seemed its finally broken in around 8000km on odometer now.

I own 1.5 Aspire. I don't drive it for short trips since bigger engines are not fuel efficient in short trips.
I mostly drive on city highways and I get between 18.6~21 kpl. Few things I would like to mention before you take these numbers too seriously

• This was during winter without AC.
• I mostly do my trips during off timing. I work from home, so I don't have to travel during office hours

It's not yet taken on motorway. I may do a long trip from Islamabad to Karachi in the last quarter of this year. Then I will see the mileage on motorway.

On a side note had anyone tested the meters fuel average accuracy? Because they seem to vary alot co pared to tank to tank figures

Meter is almost always about 0.5kmpl higher than manual calculation for highway use and about 1kmpl higher than local use for me.

Most corollas going slow are taxis going slow to save as much fuel as possible.

I've been travelling on m2 very frequently since around September 2021, as fuel prices have constantly been increasing since, I've noticed the average speeds on motorway constantly falling. Back in 2021 everyone seemed to be going around 120 with around 10 percent cars going above 150. Now it's like most people are at 100, and quite a lot well below 100 which has gotten super annoying. I drive at 130 with cruise control on and it's actually gotten super rare now that anyone passes me. And I have to slow down multiple times cause all the lanes are being hogged by people going well under 120.
