I will do it in August this year.
9700 last month. Prices are changing every couple of days due to increasing dollar rate.
Some dealerships do it themselves, but you can ask them to change it if they don't. Price of CVT filter was 2400 last month.
I am not sure whether dealerships change CVT fluid according to service manual because I don't visit them since I work on my cars. I heard some dealerships just drain and fill the 3.5 liter container because that's the quantity mentioned in the owner's manual.
Procedure to check CVT fluid level
To check fluid level in Honda CVTs, you don't need to monitor CVT fluid temperature like Toyota recommends. Honda recommendation is to warm up the engine until the radiator fan kicks in twice. Then change the gears (PRNDSLSDNRP) and wait 3 seconds in each gear before moving to the next one. Turn off the engine and quickly check the fluid level by opening the level check plug. If you waited too long (couple of min) to check the fluid level, you need to repeat the procedure from gear changing step since the engine is already warm.
There's a simple method as well to change CVT fluid, but you should follow it only if you know the fluid quantity in transmission is correct. In our case it's correct since we are first owners and the fluid level is correct from factory otherwise we would have issues with the transmission in the first few months of the ownership.
The procedure is to drain the CVT fluid. Then let the old fluid cool down to room temperature. This may take a couple of hours. The ideal thing to do is store it overnight in the same room where new fluid is present. This will ensure the temperature of both old & new fluids is the same (matching the temperature of old & new fluid is important to get the correct measurements). Now measure the old fluid and refill the exact same quantity of new fluid in the transmission. This way you don't need to perform the lengthy fluid level check procedure. During this whole procedure, if you wasted any of the old fluid, then it's game over. In such a case, you need to follow the Honda recommended CVT fluid level check procedure.
