There are threads upon threads about how crappy the screens in corollas and civics are.

They are definitely not better. And bigger is only because of our stupid mentality.

I have personally found these android units very bad in quantity and are very very dangerous for the driver. The sound quality is crap. The android unit that comes with Corolla hangs every 1 hour. It might have good features. But its really really bad.

No where in the world they offer such units. (Correct me if I'm wrong).

PKDM Android units are cheap chinese rebranded by the local car companies. There is an entire thread here on this forum about how Toyota so called ALPINE is just a cheap android .
Civic, Corolla, City, all have poor headunits as far as performance and they start lagging after sometime

just for reference.. almost all local infotainment systems are similar.

The altis 1.6 we have at home came with the same headunit. Just so you know Alpine does not make this headunit, it is made by a pakistani company called Automate. Automate have been producing oem speakers of substandard quality for many local manufactured cars you see today on roads. As for this headunit, this wasn't made by alpine its just a cheap chinese headunit rebranded as alpine by automate in korangi, its plain deception. I came across a video from a dissatisfied Corolla 1.6 Altis user on youtube being highly critical on the Alpine Android factory fitted by Indus Motors. Are u sure this is a factory catalog picture? I remember seeing a floating tab picture for toyota hilux aswell.

Base City 1.5 is available, was launched with Shark Fin Antenna back in 2017!

I have watched different reviews of Indonesian City and seen this on every car. Moreover, you can also see clearly on catalog picture.

That's exactly my point. Honda Atlas replaced 1.3 Aspire with 1.5 basic version and priced slightly above then base 1.3 so City line up have more 1.5 engine variants. There is six variants in City but i don't see more than four variants in upcoming City.

Read again what i wrote. I have base 1.5L city my self. But when you go booking this variant they have several excuses. Late delivery, not booking now bla bla. On of my relatives booked a 1.5L standard was later forced to change it to aspire. By offering shorter delivery period.

City a point in time had 8 variants on offer aswell.

1.3 basic AT/MT
1.3 Aspire AT/MT

1.5 basic AT/MT
1.5 aspire AT/MT

Now I guess they are offering 6 variants by not offering 1.3 aspire models.

Since automate is providing audio units for all local assembled cars. Probably the new city will also get something rebadged locally made too.
