Have you tried installing it in Honda City aspire?

As far as I know it works with factory fitted systems windows based softwares.

If it works in City, I want one.

It was great having android auto in Toyota Yaris I rented in Dubai.

Android auto/apple carplay should be a must. I got a wireless device in sportage which makes it even more convenient. Mostly use it for maps. Please let us know if it can work in aspire.

If this is done, I think the speed of the City's unit doesn't matter.

Car play device only uses this screen. Memory is used from the carplay device.

In Apsire unit, there is option for a dashcam. Anybody connected it? Would be a useful feature if some brother can guide others here.

I did. They are saying it is a dongle which enables wireless carplay in 17K. sounds good to me. Did some research. The dongle comes with an app you have to install on your unit. That app then enables carplay.

First attempt didn't go as planned.

The system won't let me download the software. Will try downloading on a USB and install it on the unit will update.

IMO a much better idea is to get an after market unit. If AA/ CP is a must a Pioneer or Sony. If android OS with hacked AA/CP than Nakamichi/ Onkyo are decently good and the 4GB/64GB (nakamichi 5510, onkyo 1200/ 1300) variants are about 40k. They have decent features. the Onkyo is a standard FYT unit and benefits from FYT developed apps/ skins etc (XDA forums). One can also add "FYT" app store to the onkyo to get updates to the non Playstore Apps as well as skins etc. They come in 9" as well as 10" variants.

They also come with option to install a canbus interface if desired and harnesses/ grips for Honda/ Suzuki etc are easily avialable as well as mounting frames.

Edit: They are mostly android 10 units that incorrectly report as 11-13.

There are newer variants based on the Qualcomm SoC like the Onkyo 1800/ Nakamichi 5690 Pro which might be android 13, but they are pretty highly priced. Since they are not standard FYT units, you do loose some advantage of the FYT units, NOTE: None of the Nakamihchi Head units are FYT based incl. the 5510 mentioned above. However, the onkyo 1200 and 1300 AFAIK.

Disagreed. I am very satisfied with oem screen. The rear camera boots super fast, which is commonly laggy in most of the cars i have driven. Sound and eq is also good enough. I think this device will work fine. Just have to figure out how to download the app on it. Minor hiccup. @chinyoti is this a browser issue? Try on chrome maybe.

The nakamichi avaliable in market is only good if you need to use YouTube. The audio quality is crap.

This android box or device is a jugar. It's not simple plug and play. Atleast not the one i have purchased.

Definitely better ones available in market.

I managed to use it with wired (android auto) disconnected and it's not connecting (not showing the device now). Will try to connect wired and wireless tomorrow. Let's see

Yes once playing it works nicely. The system doesn't lag like it does on original interface. So basically only uses the screen and android auto is being played from the USB device.

Acha hai. But not very satisfied if I have to wait for it to connect 15 minutes everytime.
