India is exporting GM6 to Qatar GCC in bulk quantities. Qatar has Honda City Taxis.

But Pakistanis being Pakistan lakeer ke faqeer. They would only be assembling right hand drive.

India is exporting to both right hand and left hand markets.

The only wild guess plus I assume with fingers crossed. is maybe Honda Pakistan assembled Hybrid City just like Grace and the exported units are Honda City hybrid test mules.

Just like Paksuzuki exported 3 Units of Suzuki Altos to Japan

Hello guys,

My City 1.5 driven 17,000 kms. Has been acting strange, on low speeds, Low rpms when i touch and release the accelerator pedal theirs a weird jerkish feel.

This wasnt there previously. When mentioned to the guy next to me he also notcied the same, Is it because i havent changed the CVT oil in 3 years or something else?

Hard to tell. Better get it checked from the dealership.

BTW Honda's recommendation is to change CVT fluid after every 2 years or 40,000 km which ever comes first

I feel the same thing in mine too. The service guys tell me is the CVT fluid still looks good even though my car tends to jerk sometimes and needs to go over 1500rpm for slight inclines.

With such low miles I doubt it’s related to the fluid. Anyone suggesting fluid change is causing you to waste money and is throwing a wild tukka . Might just be by design in your Hondas CVT case .

Toyota CVTs at least dont need fluid change until at least 90-100k km or so.

Toyota has longer drain intervals but Honda have short. You can check global onwers manual of City GM6.

Yes Toyotas go very decent.

I have had a CVT 2009 Vitz and And a 2014 Vitz both cases changed CVT oil out of curiosity and beyond 75,000 kms on both cars.

This is my first ever Honda, drives very less. Been driving CVT Corolla for a while switched back to city and this weird jerk.

Drove Vitz again today it doesn't do that.

It's like you tap the accelerator pedal and it perks at low rpms. Wouldn't actually call it slipping gear.

About anyone telling me of gear oil change. Ive only read on this forum, To change the CVT oil at 2 years or 40,000 km which ever comes first.

Also, Dealerships stealer ships. Once they wanted to clean the throttle body when this car was done 13,000 kms.

I haven't done any of thoose things on my 2022 Cultus which is driven 80,000. Oil and oil filter changes and the car runs perfectly fine.

Coming back to City. If everyone's car does that then I can say it's like that only. Else I'm scared as much as I want to sell it before it causes any bigger issue.

well i also have a 1.5 aspire cvt, and also had the previous gen 1.5 prosmatec and this issue came in my old city, i took it to the dealership they cleaned the throttle body (which was not very dirty) and then they re calibrated the throttle which is mandatory after throttle body clean. so i would suggest take it to the dealership and tell them the issue and see what they say about the issue. if they say its nothing just tell them to clean the throttle body and recalibrate it. it wouldnt be very expensive i think but make sure they attach the computer to your car to check for issues and for re calibration also.
