Jo kul gunda tha woh ajj acha kessay? ,In 2015 it was decided by Honda back then not to introduce the new generation as reason was that new generation doesnt offer more then current .I agree to that extent that look wise 5th is better but internal comfort and other goodies were better in 6th generation .(It was a time when CIty was Kulla Sheir) now with introduction of Yaris ,Alsvin and Proton the segment is competetive .In this segment the from 2.0 to 2.5 Million the competition is stiff and offer more goodies being Honda and refinement ,Honda should choose to jump into 2.5 to 3 Mil category which is again a segment between 2.5 to 3.5 MIL in this regard 7th Generation can capture otherwise it will be difficult

In 1.5 Yaris, the quality of seats fabric is miles apart from corolla gli. I have both gli at and yaris 1.5 x but the seats of yaris are way more comfortable and soft as compare to gli.
So your point of concern is valid being a toyota car its quite comfortable and cabin noise is very much controlled. Whereas city has too much cabin noise.

Honda has to give better quality with whatever model they are launching

Bhai the thing is that those who drive honda, will buy honda.. jo bhi hou city has better handling and is faster aswell... urban driving main its good...

6th generation although old will be new in Pakistan, it will do good business without a doubt... however, 7th generation will be a killer... it may kick out all the competition if it does not have manufacturing flaws like civic x had back in 2016/17...

I am getting some authentic rumor that we may be getting 7th generation, it would be feature stripped and top of line variant may be priced aound 3.3 to 3.4 million. Then again these are just rumors no confirmed news as yet...

7th gen city is bigger in dimensions though but still smaller than Corolla! I really hope they give Cruise control this time around.

Honda has already jumped into this category with its 5th generation
(Even the cheapest variant of current 5th gen City costs more than 2.5 million to the consumer even without the registration costs)

Sir top of the line ane basic car are different story

Altis 1.6 has outdated transmission system, no climate control, no driving assistance... it is facing tough competition from its younger sibling yaris 1.5 which is far superior feature and comfort wize... further yaris is giving a fuel of near 20kmpl which is a nightmare of Altis 1.6 which averages less than 12kmpl...

City would be stripped of some features it is equipped globally however it still may be a turbo variant and most probably would be deficient of sunroof only... lets see... what actually makes it to market... New City dimensions have significantly grown up and its longer than 9th gen civic. Plus it would be top of the line model most probably turbo variant if it comes. On other hand, Altis 1.6 is the base model of corolla line up, and when its new model will be launched it will again go up.

It would be stupid decision from Honda to introduce 6th Gen city especially when competitors like Yaris and alsvin are present, Yaris only lacks aesthetically but is packed with practical features which aren’t to been seen in C-segment sedans in Pakistan, though alsvin has to prove its worth on the roads it’s highly possible that it will be reliable after looking at its performance in KSA, apart from that with few more brands like MG and DFSK ready to enter the sedan market,Honda has to keep the future in mind the upcoming sedans will be packed with features eg. Alsvin having sunroof,TPMS,parking sensors and more important features. If Honda decides on the 6th Gen model it will sell initially but will be seen as outdated and overpriced if even a handful of these Chinese sedans prove to be reliable, even now people only buy city because of lack of reliable options in the given price and segment.

After looking the above comparison pictures of both 6th Gen City & Yaris, if i have to choose between, i will go for City 6th gen. Bcoz, it is still looking better (gracefull) than Yaris. I dont know why.

After reading all the comments from all the reputed members, I realized one thing, we Pakistanis are stupid people
we bash wagon R so much in the beginning that suzuki will be laughing at us now, we made it one of the best selling cars afterwards, same is the case with Yaris, it's a good car let's first accept it city 6th gen will still be called older in front of yaris at least that's a fact I know

I believe 7th gen city makes more sense for markets that do not have Civic (India - 10th gen civic has been discontinued there). It is present in some markets alongside civic, but the top-spec City in India gets many features of Civic/Corolla/Elantra in Pakistan. Even if they remove features, it'll compete due to its bigger dimensions. So if they launch it here, it might start competing with their own civic.
