If Honda ends up stripping down the 6th Gen and not even offer features matching the Yaris it might sell in the first year or so because it’s new but then Chinese brands will eat up city sales very quick especially when more brands enter the lucrative sedan market.

Are you sure? I have a 1.6 altis fl, the cruise isn't plug and play on it since the ecu doesn't support it. Not sure about yaris though

He's right. Installing cruise control in Yaris is a very simple and cheap process. It is plug and play as ECU does support it.
