Front is beautiful. Those who were asking for red. I wish PS would have done justice to the car on the inside as well.

I was facing the same dilemma. Got a 2018 Vitz safety edition last year (around 25k genuine driven) and feels like a brand new car. But Swift GLX sounded like an interesting replacement with some extra goodies, specially cruise control and extra airbags. Eventually these quality issues and materials are putting me off. The Vitz is very well built with high quality interior (mine is the safety edition 2 with chrome touches and piano black accents in the interior).
Glad I heard from you regarding rear seat space as well as boot space. I wouldn’t have known otherwise.
I think I will keep the Vitz for now.

Yes wait for customers feedback and then decide. Dont throw your money on it without test drive and ppl feedback for about an year. This is what i have decided.

There is no splash shield and engine cover in the Indian Swift too. The same goes for Thai Swift as well. I am not sure if Suzuki left it open for hot regions like India and Pakistan on purpose.

That is a seam seal applied on the joints. Mostly it is applied through robots but in Pakistan, they apply it manually with figures and scrapers.

Yes the seals looked rough and ugly. Definitely manually done.

Yes, wouldn't have done it without a test drive anyway, but quality and rear + boot space is very important for me. May not be that important for others, but it would be difficult for me to compromise on it.
The problem with waiting for one year is usually the price going up. If I didn't have a good car, I would have probably taken the risk, but I think my Vitz can last quite some good years so I won't lose out that much
I think it is a good car for people looking for a new one in this bracket, specially those who want extra useful features like cruise, additional airbags, etc, but can live without a sedan.

It may have potential as a hot hatch, I haven't checked recently but the swift usually had tons of aftermarket performance and cosmetic upgrades in the previous generation models.

Yes, told me same in RWP too. But april opening is expected with Rs.3-4 lac increase.

Yeah, I claimed that the newly launched Swift has a robotically welded chassis.

A welding robot isn’t used to dispense a seam seal. The application of seam-seal and welding on a car chassis are two different things.

3-4 lac increase doesn't worth it for such cheap plastics in the interior. we spend most of the time in the interior. the exterior is good but it is for other people. i always prefer a vehicle with a good comfortable interior.
The immediate turn off was when I opened the glove box and it fell with the speed of gravity and I was anticipating it to land slowly on its hinges. I reconfirmed and it did the same. Kitni keemat hogi us damper which they removed to cut the cost.

If that's true then PS will shoot itself in the foot. Swift can storm market with current price strategy, any stupid increase and this swift will follow the path of its predecessor.

Probably it will provide a 13 – 15 KM/L fuel average within the city and around 17 – 20 KM/L on the highway or motorway!

I think initially Suzuki will increase somewhere around 150,000 PKR – 250,000 PKR. Anything more than that will be simply beyond the buying power of many people, especially for a hatchback.

I think Suzuki will not increase the price unless Toyota or Honda increases the price of Yaris or City, or people will automatically opt for Yaris or City.

Fuel average figures will play an important role in future sales and capturing market share.

Sooner or later, petrol prices will reach 200+ PKR/L (due to sanctions on Russia). Under such circumstances, it will be very difficult for the newly launched Swift to sustain itself in the market.

if this is the deal-breaker for you, it's a bit more of a nitpicking bro. i have Yaris, it also has the same gravity fall glove box,

the rear legroom also seemed adequate if you want to sit straight(ish) on the back seat, your legs still weren't touching the front seat..

the only odd looking thing is the fender gap in engine bay..but again that's also present in international models..
