Using better octane value fuel in an engine not designed to take advantage of will not make the engine run any better.

These are US Octane values (RON+MON average), but the general message holds

Hi all,

My Swift GLX recently got into a minor rear bumper accident and went in for a repair. My bumper has been repaired by Pak Suzuki but unfortunately they could not replace parking sensor (which also got damaged) as they don't have any in stock. I have called multiple dealerships inquiring about the parking sensor with all saying they don't have in stock and only a couple saying that they can order it but will take at least 2 weeks to arrive. Is there anywhere else I should try to source this item? It is absolutely ridiculous that Pak Suzuki don't have such a simple item available at their dealerships.

Any help would be appreciated!

Depending on your city, try places like bilalgunj where second hand (pre-loved, used), after market parts are sold. You're bound to find something that fits the purpose.

Is there any difference in build quality after the upgraded version? Can cruise control be installed in the manual variant plug-and-play?

May consider a CVT variant as well, but how's everyone's experience with the transmission after 50,000 km or even 100,000 km? How was the experience regarding its maintenance?

I own a manual. The upgraded version. No build quality upgrades. Not sure about cruise control. Test drove the CVT, felt lethargic to me. Manual is good fun to throw around. I'm pretty sure the CVT will be fine reliability wise if maintenance is done on schedule. I doubt the techs at Suzuki would know about proper maintenance procedures though.

Yesterday I received white GLX in exchange of my ALTO VXL, driven like under 100km right now,
Everything is good better, except one issue, the braking sound, specially when you are crossing some speed braker, it sound like coming from shocks but actually its brakes, will it settle down with time or need to check?

this brake noise is in almost every swift and it will remain like this.

Mine has reduced significantly with time, driven 4.5k kms so far, it might come again as the season changes, not sure - but it is not there atm. I did change the tyres at 900 km though, but that should not affect the braking that much I think.

Yes, after driving altos for 4 years, this is really quiet but I only can hear the tyre noise, how to reduce that, do I need to keep it 32+ or what, In alto I never heard tyre noise because its engine noise was too much, but I kept tyres at 35

The factory equipped tyres in the Swift are supposed to be fuel-efficient tyres, so naturally, they produce a lot of road noise. I also felt that they do not absorb bumps that well. You can try reducing / increasing the tyre pressure but will not help that much.

Can do two things, you can just live with it, or just change the tyres. There is a day / night difference in the driving once you change the tyres. I know people criticize that these are Bridgestone tyres and not the local ones so why bother changing, but believe me these Bridgestones even let you feel the small pebble on the road, and for what, just 1-2km per liter better average than the comfort-oriented tyre?

Lastly, stick to the manual provided with the car for any sort of maintenance (oil changes, tuning etc.), and you will be good for 4+ years. No need to do any sort of experiments.
