Tyres are not covered in warranty.

What about ac refrigerant aka gas? Is that covered in warranty?

I don't think so, would have to check the book they share when you get the car, I think that has the details as to which parts are covered.

But in general, usually the expendables / consumables are not covered in warranty, for example engine oil is not covered in warranty, same should be true for the refrigerant. However, if there is a leakage of some sort, or any particular factory fault that the manufacturer accepts as their manufacturing fault, that will probably cover it.

Yes this was my point that if refrigerant level drops due to leakage and if there is leakage is brand new car it should be covered in warranty.

Tbh, the warranty book should cover these details. If the terms are unclear, just pay a visit to a reputable 3S, and inquire from them. It might be a bit tricky though given how stealerships work, sadly.

stuck between city 1.2 cvt and swift glx cvt , iam more inclined towards swift as I want to drive it as a local daily driven car as I already have one for long routes and trunk space. but I have seen mixed reviews about glx cvt with many people complaining about its transmission issues after 50k km and suspension problems? will this be an issue or should I go for it?

I think the same tyre pressure as recommended, 32/34 PSI or maybe just 32/32 PSI should work.

If you are unsure, you can manually use the chalking technique to see if the tyres are under / over-inflated.

If you are okay with the smaller boot, then Swift is indeed a better option compared 1.2L City.

There are no inherent transmission or suspension problems in Swift so far, or what I have heard of. Although, there have been 2-3 reported cases on PW / FB where people faced some issues, but that can happen in almost any car tbh.

I will let others share their opinions as well, but to me personally, Swift GLX seems a better option compared to 1.2L City.

Swift glx cvt not moving in D Shift

My glx cvt suddenly stopped moving in D or L. I parked my car for 2 min only and when I started again and shift to D gear it is not moving. Upon much deliberate acceleration movement is slight forward and it looks like something is holding the tyre. Handbrake is also ok. There is no check light or anything. Transmissions oil is also up to the mark. Going smoothly in reverse gear and also moving in neutral gear. In D or L it is not moving forward. Anyone else faced the same situation? Or any sol…

Please note that, apart from the last issue, first two were not exactly faults as other people reported that it is normal in CVTs however, I am yet to notice anything like it in the Swift that I have so far.

go for swift GLX, City 1.2 could be sane option only if you dont have other primary sedan car so then trunk will be preferable but as you said that you already got 1 for long routes then go for swift

Swift pros, pick, stability and fuel avg is much better than city + its full of features which city aspire have and some additional as well like projector + 6 airbags + parking sensors so its complete package

Downside is road noise and suspension wise you will feel bumps but this is downside for city as well

Also, if the swift's dials look weird, they got pushed in accidentally due to knee hitting them while sitting in the car. If you look closely, they are pressed in. Probably an easy fix at the dealership.

any ideas as to how to remove the t40 torx head screws holding down the seats?

Things i have tried:

1. T40 Key. The key broke, screw didnt budge
2. T40 bit with a ratchet. No luck. With a break bar, I gave up as i was pretty sure i'll rip the head off
3. Impact drill with t40 bit. No luck, the drill twists before the screw.

I have been advised to heat it a bit since theres likely thread locker on the screws. I am sure some here had their floor redone. How were the screws removed.
