I agree to you, but if this was the case Vitz sales would have had a hit, Vitz and Passo are doing equally good.
Specially when all local hatchback bookings are closed for infinite periods.
Their is a category that prefers a decent / Premium hatchback skipping entry level sedans.
Altho many people won't call Swift Premium but till date in all local offerings if you sit in Swift after sitting in Alto, cultus, wagonr, Picanto Swift does feel nice to sit in.
Cheap seats, low leg room, cheap quality that comes later.
I remember when Saga and Alsvin came I was of the view I would never buy a Suzuki again.
But I just got a cultus because of service back up and brand value.
