That’s the only positive I’m seeing which isn’t in Yaris.

Rest are mostly shashkas.

The only positive in Yaris is a boot space, rest are also shashkas : )

Wagonr, Cultus, Altos start rusting in 2 years of useage even in Islamabad, let karachi alone.

If Swift can pass time test durability only then one can say Yaris is only shashkas.

To my personal opinion the extra money one pays for Yaris over and above Cultus/Picanto pays off in 4 to 5 years of useage. In terms of durability, maintenance, and above all resale.

Suzuki, or Swift for that matter, is not a new name in the market and has already proven to pass the test of time.
What i meant was that anything above basic necessity features in a car are shashkas, be it city, yaris or swift... so each car has shashkas in it that the companies boast about to sell their product.

Now, if we start comparing the products according to their resale value then the debate would change altogether : ) even Mehran would become the best then in some cases.

I think the Swift would only be lacking boot space over yaris, but would be equal to, if not above, Yaris in all other features ...

sorry dear, I may have missed your query.
well in day to day driving it doesn't scrape the body or mud guards but in very tight parking spaces where you have to move the steering to the extreme end, then you can hear some scraping from the front end but this trade off is nothing when compared to the huge relief from the scraping of the under body due to ground clearance. Even with full load it hardly touch the speed breakers, Alhumdolellah. Fuel consumption difference is 2 to 3 liters when compared to stock size.

With the passage of time now I have developed a habit of coming in wide at the corner to avoid extreme steering but still once in a blue moon it scrape the fender due to extreme steering move to sides.

my main concern is boot space and rear leg room. Any comparison available with the third gen vitz and the new swift. the outgoing swift has cramped rear leg room and boot space was less than vitz.

as per sources they will launch at lower price. Then take a a lot of bookings , but by the time deliveries to actual customers start , they will jack up prices by 2 lacs on each variant.

This would be possible if Rupee devalues further. IMF's 6th tranche of loan was approved recently, so it seems unlikely at least for the near future to see further devaluation. So if they launch at a lower price it will be good, because if rupee devalues further then prices for all the automakers will increase as well.

I don't think a bigger truck and altogether sedan car is just a shashka
yes you can say other things in Yaris/City a shashka
but when you compare a sedan with Hatchback (even a premium one) you should keep in your mind that Sedan Cars are whole new territory.
I agree and might be one of the early buyers of Swift based on features offered(if airbags and other features are true), still I would not compare it with a sedan.

cheaper than what ? Suzuki hasn't revealed the price of Swift yet i think, or has it ?

Yes, they haven't but rumors has it that swift top of the line will be 3.2M which is higher than Yaris 1.5 top of the line.

Let's see what Suzuki pakistan has to offer.

In 2006 I skipped a brand new Cultus for a 2002 Vitz, (Cultus gave me 45,000 premium/Own)

In 2012 I had a budget of 8 lack rupees. I skipped City IDSI vario for a 2007 Vitz used locally in Pakistan registered in 2010.

In 2017 I had a budget of 15 lack I skipped brand new manual city for fresh import 2014 Vitz.

Now I feel Vitz for 1000cc is under powered. If I have 2.8 million il go for Yaris instead.

Maybe I got old, preferences/Utilities changed.

If I want a third car for my self il go for a pocket rocket be it Swift or the new Yaris Hatchback (4th Gen Vitz).

But a basic first car would be a sedan for me, second would be a handy hatch back to maneuver around everywhere.

Swift or Vitz at 2.8 million mark should be a fun car and would be a third car if I have cash to throw away
