kindly see the january sales figure and we will know who is outselling who. Btw the same generation city ousted yaris in india long before the launch of 7th generation. If by mild hybrid u mean auto start stop, it is a pain in the back. It's very irritating at times. Probably doesn't even saves any fuel. Just shashka.

inspected the car today - built quality was good and it was a cbu as per dealership. interior is spacious and gives a very good comfy jadeed feel, the back leg room is cramped just like previous swift (maybe i am spoilt after seeing rear leg space in Alto 660cc), the boot space is simply huge. infact i loved the car..

Agreed. Just saw the car in person. Build quality is very good. Rear leg room is a little less. Trunk space is good. Disappointed with the engine though. They should have given us the latest dual jet engine at least. This looks like the ancient k12b with a single vvt. And the typical dealership things have already started. The sales rep told me that booking is closed now. Pata Nahin Sir ab kab open hogi. Meaning, own/ premium wala scene shuru as always. Car is good over all.

Overall pricing is still inflated for a car about to end its life cycle. They have used same strategy as atlas in launching a end of life model.

Suzuki has really shot itself in the foot by pricing pathetic rust bucket cultus upto 24 lacs. Now they are left with no choice but to price the new(old) swift from 25 lacs.

I feel at the end of the day only those ppl will opt for it who can afford to change cars every 2 years or are fan boys.

kyu k production started at Karachi plant so cbu units are on display. its unlike ciaz/vitara which were totally ckd units with no intention of local production.

All of them pretty much have the same strategy which is launching expired generations like Atlas did with City, Indus is doing with Corolla even though the 12th gen has been out since 4 years internationally and now Swift. I feel like this Swift will not be a car of choice for everybody in 3 Million range for majority.

Yes. Its disappointing is that our next door neighbor (India) now has new models of the WAGON R and even cultus. Where as these companies are feeding us scraps at inflated prices. Shameful.

What about retractable mirrors? I think they are also not there in new swift and believe me when ever I switch from my vitz to corolla gli, the feature I miss the most is this retractable mirrors thingy.

engine shield from the bottom

if they have given so much attention to detail by not striping it off the goodies, lets be positive that the shield will be present.

I have just one concern that they will do a lot of bookings, delivery period will be 2 months and then before delivery they will jack up the prices to 3.1 or 3.2

I hope and pray my this concern proves wrong
