Shape is no doubt amazing and build quality also seems to be pretty fine. There are some usual quality issues like door need to be slammed little hard while closing similar to cultus. But overall it is a better deal if comparing with vitz. Just because it is brand new with better service and parts availability. I seriously think Pak Suzuki means business this time around. Provided they don't revise the price again

Jhelum dealership is not taking any bookings for swift. They said that they'll start bookings from monday

For all those who are praising the build quality of interior and paint etc. of the newly launched Swift… Let me make a few things clear over here:

1. Interior and seating used in these display units are imported.
2. Suzuki has stripped down the disc brakes in the rear brakes, there are drum brakes in the top of the end variant now.
3. There is no engine protection sheet underneath the engine bay.
4. Suzuki hasn’t offered the center console in the top-end variant as well, though you can purchase it as an accessory from an authorized dealership.
5. There is no strip under the front bumper, I don’t know what to call it exactly.
6. Spare wheel isn’t available, which is a huge drop back. What will happen if the tire gets damaged beyond repair and you are stuck somewhere in a remote area.
7. As I have mentioned previously, Suzuki Pakistan will have to get an endurance test passed for a locally assembled vehicle from Japan. Which will include, airbag deployment for the top-end variant (especially in the seats), cruise control, etc.
8. The front seats are less wide than Vitz and Cultus, and if by any chance you are obese or healthy, you won’t fit properly. Honda City & Toyota Yaris has better seats.
9. I previously mentioned that Suzuki has assembled approx. 1800+ units during last month, but they aren’t fully ready for some reasons atm. Perhaps waiting for some local parts.
10. Sales staff at various dealerships, even after days of training by Suzuki are misguiding about features and specs of the newly launched Swift. Someone is saying that Engine capacity is 1250cc or 1298cc, the fuel average of the newly launched Swift within the city is around 18KM/L, it has turbo-jet and bla bla.
11. I haven’t seen an overwhelming crowd at any dealership (4-5 big dealerships, located in Lahore) so far. I still remember the huge crowd at Alto’s launch. Most of the people are there for the tea and free snacks offered by the dealership.
12. I met dozens of people at various dealerships today in Lahore, most of the people said the same thing: “The car is over-priced and has no truck space available like a Sedan, what we will do with these features as they are not much practical (at least for them).” In short, they said that they will prefer to buy a sedan over an over-priced hatchback.

I will suggest you guys be very much careful while booking the car for the following reasons:

1. Presently, some dealerships are collecting pay orders from customers and some of them have already announced that they are done with the booking. Chances are that they will forward the pay orders of their investors on preference based upon the public reaction to the newly launched Swift.
2. For Key 2 Key Exchange Customers, dealerships are buying their cars at low prices compared to the market and will use that amount for processing the normal booking. Usually, they fill up a key 2 key exchange form and offer the new car in exchange. Which is usually done by sending a demand to the company. The estimated time for the so-called K2K exchange plan is also by the end of April. In short words, the company hasn’t allocated any k2k exchange quota for Swift.
3. Last year, Suzuki had done the overbooking of Cultus (after the budget). A lot of bookings were canceled and customers had to wait for months to get their money back.

Thanks for the info. Spare tyre kit is also available as accessory as well as mudflaps and spoiler. (according to pak suzuki website)

I am very interested in car, I would have booked it since I also prefer hatchbacks for city driving. However diggi nahi hai so wife will never be satisfied with it. But would be a perfect second car for her in future if Suzuki doesn't inflate price unreasonably, as right now its a good deal IMO. Has cruise control which even Yaris top-end one doesn't have.

I am thinking to go for the glx cvt, using their key to key offer, with a 6 month old cultus Ags the only thing is the unknown fuel economy. As cultus is giving around 18 in city. Where as it is unknown for swift

Although usually they picture both exchanging cars together, maybe the will deliver Swift later.

No, there isn’t any arm rest available in the GLX CVT.

My only regret is the pathetic variant badging. Even Khyber had better GL and GLX Emblems.

The delivery period in the K2K exchange program is somewhere around 1 month. Though some dealerships quoted 2 months period.

Based on the feedback from Danish Motors, Naseer Autos, Mandiwala Motors in Karachi, and Sethi Motors, Samanabad Motors, Mini Motors, Olympia Motors, and Master Motors Lahore.

I have confirmed this from the company itself, there is no instant delivery available in K2K program for Swift (any variant). It may take a month time period or perhaps more.

I agree with Point number 8. Being a fat person, I found the driver seat to be very cramped even from the current gen.

And back seats were better but still not as spacious as Yaris is.

They are giving 4 months (120 days) for Alto VXR although open invoice cars being sold on own I don't think they can deliver new model in 2 months

I have visited the dealership today sir.
Most of your points are fine to some extent but how come we get everything. This time if pricing and features are getting together we are taking spare tire into consideration. Just compare this with stonic and price wise. I am not supporting any one here. But considering its price bracket it's a really good value for money and it's a Suzuki after all we should expect these minor dumb decisions from them. But swift looked better than Yaris any day in terms of looks and city in terms of features with exception from sedan Vs hatch comparison. Alsvin is Chinese so not putting it in comparison even. I am being quoted 4 months delivery on full payment and no price increase effect of booked with full payment. GL manual hits cultus badly and GLX hits sedans with features. My take it's a clear value for money if one wants a feature rich hatch in a decent budget.

I personally checked the car today and liked it a lot specially the seats and overall fit and finish.
But yes you made some great observations. Let’s see what customers actually receive.
