On the reverse of the PBO form suzuki has written cancellation charges as 10%.

I don't know if this is old policy or new just for swift.

With so frequent car price hikes these days it is not a wise decision to put your current car in suzuki exchange program and then wait for 1-3 months for the new car to be delivered.

By the time you receive your new car, your old car which you have probably sold for less in exchange program would have easily raised its resale value handsomely.

But keep in mind that the new car would also increase its retail price by then so it somewhat cancels out.

I'm a bit curious about the cars with "open invoice". I've already got my ride though but just wanted to confirm whether cars can have "open invoice" or not now-a-days. There might be some restrictions from the govt, advance tax is there to discourage own.

I did.
Looks like Suzuki dealerships miscommunicated customers that they will get earlier deliveries, and yet after one month dealerships are not sure exactly when deliveries are going to start. No official dates for the deliveries are confirmed so far.

What else can be expected from suzuki, i once had a similar bad experience where they scammed my father and tricked him into selling his car at atleast two lacs less than its market value (which at the time was almost 30% of the total value of the car: mehran) and when he tried to pull out of the deal at the last minute, the dealership further pressurized him by threatening to pull leagal options,, he was a pretty straight forward person and succumbed to the situation.

I personally dislike Suzuki after that, only this time went for a car which on paper predicts a change in policy/ mentality of the car maker... However, following this thread is making sure that nothing has changed and Suzuki is still same old Suzuki, swift or mehran etc

The company must understand that we have handed over our old vehicles for at least 150,000 - 200,000 PKR less than their market value in the key 2 key exchange program for immediate delivery.

I was wondering that this is also a kind of ON which the company is earning by taking the cars on a value lesser than the market.

Your father could sue them because excise official way of transfer is that both owners need to be present and recorded before eto and he could get the transfer froze But senior citizens cant take so much hassle. If they tried it with me I would have made sure they know the drill. Verbal commitment means nothing. Ask for paper with signature and stamp

effectively, those who have opted for exchange prog and were given the hope of early delivery, bought the car on ON. either they give new car on premium or they take old car by discounting the value, it appears to be ON. that's what i am saying.

Even then, we have given them the benefit they were looking for… At least they should deliver the car to exchange customers now!
