20W50 in 1lac Driven Honda City

Just got my hands on a Honda City 2011 driven 113,000 kms.
I saw the oil change sticker. It says Kixx 20W50 with Guard Filter.
The engine condition is good. What oil and filter should i put on this car?

Whoever u got the car from. First grab a chappal and smack him.

The max anyone should go in an L13Z1 with no leaking seals is 10w40. I suggest switching to 5w30 API SN grade. If it isn’t reducing oil then stick to that. There are lots of brands offering fully synthetic oils in the said grade.

this is too thick and it is meant for weaker older engines...

try to use 10w30 10w40........

Should i Put Total Quartz 9000 5W30 or Kixx Pao 5W40?
I want to be on safe side. Both are fully synthetic

Use Honda 10W-30 SM, check & replace all filters including fuel filter. You will be good to go.

Bro, first get rid of this oil and Guard filter ASAP. Use Genuine / OEM Air Filter for max. performance.
If engine is good enough with seals intact / no leakage, you may go for complete engine flush. Use any Fully Synthetic, 100% Genuine and Original Engine Oil with API rating of SN, and priority as follows:

Eneos Sustina http://www.eneos.pk/sustina-5w30-snrc/

(Switch to higher / thicker grade only, if thinner grade start getting consumed, and I believe aesa ho ga nai! I.A.)

To be on safer side, i decided to put Engine Flush on next Oil Change.
Air Filter was brand new so i didn’t replace it.
I used Total Quartz 9000 5W30 with Leppon Oil Filter.
Oil change interval is 5000Kms.

On next oil change if the car didn’t reduce oil, i will use Engine Flush and keep using Total Quartz 5W30.
If the car reduced engine oil by half, i’ll put Kixx Pao 5W40.

Total Quartz 9000 is a very good oil. Am using it in my 160,000kms driven 2005 civic and Ive run it till 8000kms On a recent visit to Hunza.
No burn, no apparent loss of viscosity.
Therefore for a 1 lac driven car it should he just fine.

Stay away from Leppon products. You can use Guard oil filters. They work fine uptil 5000kms.

Well, Leppon filters buray nai hain, some even say that they are better than the locally made guard filters.

100k km or for that matter 200k km too doesn't ask for a special oil.
Stick to Honda's own oil for the life time of the engine until anything unusual is noticed.
I have sold a Honda City at 222k km 3 years ago and it is still running great with the new owner with absolutely no need to change the oil. These engines can do 500k km easily given no negligence in maintenance.
I don't know why the pseudo mechanics and pseudo experts misguide people.

both are same ....Guard are packed in pakistan filter imported from china ..same goes for leppon

both use almost same material filters as 1st copies ....

use 1st copies ..perfect to go with ...

only if you get mineral ...its better to stick with 10w40 semi synthetic or 10w30 ..not below

use german oils ..caltax is better of all the local oils ....but chance of fake copy is always there

I have used Total Quartz 9000 Future Series 5W30. Its imported from Singapore. I changed oil two days ago. The engine is in good condition. Am i good to go?

Brother now that you changed the oil, enjoy your ride and keep an eye on dipstick. If it works out fine, keep using it.
