2JZ-GE / 2JZ-GTE toyota engine!

hello , i was surfing the web and found 2JZ toyota line6 3000cc twincam 24valve efi engine is used in toyota supra non turbo and 2JZ-GTE is used in toyota supra twin turbo!! i have got a 1997 model toyota crown which has 2JZ-GE engine ? it means crown and supra share same techology ? any idea about BHP's ? are they the same if yes then i am gonna install 2jz-ge engine into my 300zx .. 300zx with 2JZ-GE engine with custom turbo !! in videos.. it goes like bullet .. but i have to cut the engine bay of my zx300 a little bit to install this 2jz-ge engine .. suggestions and info needed .

yup they are almost the same technology except for the motion of pistons and the size of sleves which affect a lot on the RPM.

hello there mate ! thanks for the info ,, i have read about few cars with 2jz engines ,, like lexus sc300 goes 0-100km in 9.45seconds with same engine but the wieght of its body is 1580KG (supra twinturbo and 300zx twinturbo are 1430KG) , does it effects the 0-100km timings ? as same engine give 0-100km in 10seconds in toyota crown and 6.5seconds in toyota supra non turbo ?? and should i install 2JZ toyota engine in my nissan 300zx ? i have to cut the inner body under the bonet almost 4-6 inches ? any suggestions? if that engine gives timin of 6.5seconds in 1430kg toyota supra then i think it will be the same for 300zx(1430kg) , and later i will be adding a bigger turbo to it as well ... please give me some ideas or suggestions?

sorry .. supra twin turbo's wieght is 1490KG and 300zx twin turbo is same in wieght !! non turbo supra is 1430KG .. what do u think can 150KG can cut the 0-100km by 3 seconds ???? lexus sc300 coupe 2jz , 0-100km in 9.45seconds and wieghs 1580pounds same engine gives 0-100km in 6.5 seconds on supra non turbo wieghs 1430KG .

Dear Brother Usman your question is very interesting and the comparizon of the same 2jz engine in multiple vehicles at same time is very interesting. As far as the 0-100 km/h concern by the shortage of time i cannot briefly explain it to you and it is another discussion but i will try to explain it as well in this thread. the 2JZ-GE engine only produces 220 hp at 6200 rpm the main thing which convert this ppower is the transmission and the power produced by the transmission is transferred to the wheels is by diffrential.
so to maintain and get a quick response to speed over 100 km/h in less time you should concentrate on transmission and differential.
as you said above that you are fitting this setup in zx-300 you have to decide that whether you are fitting with automatic transmission or manual
i will suguest you the automatic transmission . and then you should also have to calculate the diffrential size of zx-300 . by counting the crown wheel and pinnion theeths of zx-300 i can give you a suggestion.

you have mentioned above that you have a toyota crown 97 model its diffrential sizes are diffrent for each country example( in japan the
crown wheel size is 43 and the pinnion size is 11 so the ratio is 11/43).

Toyota crown has 5 kind's of diffrentials ( 10/43- 11/41-11/43-9/41-8/37)
if you want your ride to become more speedy than you should try the 9/41 ratio diffrential it will boost up your car with in 4.5 sec to 100 km/h .
whether the other mentioned sizes are for smooth driving condition's.

The figures mentioned above are tested with 2JZ-GE toyota crown 1994 model and are uptodate correct according to to our workshop data.

the 2JZ-GTE is a big motor you will forget when you will drive the 2JZ-GE altered motor.

assalam alaikum sir G....ur information is very great for me,but i m confused on my car,,i have cressida1987 model box car.1 C 14 gear.and 11,43 diffrential,,above120 speed it want more gear for smooth drive..i change 10,41 differnatial,and it s better. then 11,43,,can i try for more smooth drive 9,41 OR 12,41????
