Hope it's successful. i'm waiting two years for this to happen. All today's smartphones are HSPDA/HSDPA 3G capable, while most top mid-range and all today's and last year's flagships are capable with LTE. The LTE in fact is faster then broadband in Pakistan, one can reach 20 MBPS speed.

Even cheaper numberpad based Nokia phones like the 207 and 301 also comes with 3G.

A well attended auction hall. People are happy, excited and curious too. Few are nervous considering the unknown results of the auction.

Chairman PTA confirms that all lots of 3G will get sold, since at least one operator is committed for 3G lots.

However, situation for 4G spectrum is still unclear because bidding for 4G spectrum will begin after conclusion of 3G bidding.

So the bid for Lot D has increased, while Lot A, Lot B and Lot C are still sailing at base price.

We don't have any details on which operator has submitted the heighest bid, however, it is seemingly the Lot D that has competition. Other Lots are likely to be called off from the bids.
