But I wanted to ask how to contact the Telecommunication companies (Mobilink, Telenor, Ufone, Zong etc...) to give them a place for putting up a booster!

Not an easy task. You can just tell them where the network coverage is low and recommend them to install BTS. It's their decision whether they would install it there or not.

U cannot tell them to install BTS at ur place. Its their decision if the place requires BTS or no.. ..

They work best on non smartphones.

In smartphones, you will have to restrict all other apps from using mobile data which is pretty inconvenient. Even then it will consume data when it displays external content on Facebook.

Activate a normal package. WhatsApp consumes very little data, so use Facebook on opera mini to save tremendous amount of data. That's better solution and you will even get Facebook push notifications on opera mini.

How to pay PTCL EVO/Charji Postpaid bill:
No bill is sent at home for postpaid billing. Instead an sms will be sent on your mobile number notifying you about bill amount and due date. You can also sign up at ptcl.com.pk and check your monthly bill.

To pay the bill:
- you can pay online with debit/credit card at ptcl's official website.
- you can pay bill at PTCL OSS by going to cash/utlility bill counter, providing your device MDN and depositing amount. Take receipt.
- You can use automated payment machine installed at OSS and pay bill by yourself. Insert cash in that machine or use debit/credit card. Take receipt generated by machine.

If you live in a remote area where you don't have access to ptcl oss, subscribe to prepaid packages for ease. Just go to any nearby mobile shop and recharge your wireless device with Ufone easyload. Use your device MDN for that.

So I'm planning on converting so what would be the best choice. No need of super fast 3G, just a good speed but mainly at a good cost, usuage atleast 1GB/ month. Do let me know about any packages etc. ..

I prefer Zong for overall quality. But it depends on your location and signal strength.

You can lookup their packages.

Zong Daytime Offer and Zong Goodnight offer, are also very good when you want to do some heavy work.

Call ufone and ask their numainda to tell you how to port to another network. Do mention that you are on postpaid. There is a code that is sent via message after which you receive a message having your details. Show this message to staff member by visiting nearest franchise. They will issue a sim which will activate in a few days. i have done this on prepaid sim so I'm not sure if post paid is different.

My 2G works fine on Warid.

Set your phone to 2G only and then try. Are the mobile Internet service activated on back end? Did you install the Internet settings?

I think i activated my Internet services by calling their helpline (321), when i ported in to warid. You should call them too.

PTCL charji has driven me crazy

Their billing system is down so often

Zong 4G is getting sh!t for me for past couple of months. Gets very slow every few hours and sometimes just stops. I am not recharging it any more. Warid is already bad. Guess back to PTCL for me.

PTCL?
My Charji is crawling from past several days. Took it to different area for testing and problem persisted. No internet connection is stable in this country. Focusing on quality is not a priority in Pakistan.
