The current govt. is desperate to bring some $$$ to support the economy, and this auction will not only bring technological advancements, but also will be a big boost to economy.

The last corrupt govt. couldn't do it as it had no credibility and no one was willing to throw their money in corrupt person's pockets. The situation seems better with current regime, and even some foreign operators may choose to make entry. Hope for the best...

Looking forward to 3G/4G launch in Pakistan, not necessarily to use the service since it will be expensive and capped. But here's to hoping PTCL gets its act straight and improves quality of its DSL? Fool's hope I know. Nothing will stop me from getting rid of PTCL DSL if some provider comes up with a reasonable package on their 3G USB device.

No my dear friend. The packages you're getting from PTCL are Cheapest if you compare them with even the neighboring countries.

Once the rates of 3G companies are revealed, people will start loving their PTCL EVO and broadband packages instead of cursing them.

Cant wait to use it on my mobile. Defeats the purpose of a good mobile if it has no 3g connectivity.

Beside all of these news we should discuss about the rates aswell.we already are paying huge bills for crappy dsl and now double payments on 3g aswell?
