Am also being flashed to update the carrier settings but I refuse to do so.. I have heard they does this to stop the facetime application to be used on teir network as PTA "Miy baap" has asked them to do so.. Its strange users are reporting that lte sign is gone replaced with 4G.. Is your facetime working

Today I accepted the message, popped up onto my iPhone 5 screen. It was regarding the update of carrier settings. After few seconds mine started showing 4g sign instead of LTE.

Mine fails on activation on 5s but working on 6. Can't recall if I updated carrier settings on both or not..

I hv heard that PTA has blocked facetime in sets purchased through mobile companies

too bad... facetime is the most amazing function of iPhone I just love using it for calling friends abroad Voice and picture quality is superb

Indeed it's one of the best application. I missed it too in my phone. But there are some other alternatives apps.

Agreed. But the plus point of these handsets are they are with official one year apple local warranty. Some news suggests are PTA may block FaceTime on other devices aswell.

As far as i know Facetime and apps like Viber Whatsapp cannot be blocked by PTA through some internet firewall etc.. They can just block it by some software modifications in devices which they are offering officially

Is anyone using Warid 4G on Sony Xperia Z3?? (not Z3 compact)... its LTE band is 700/800/1700/1800/2600... Although it has 1800 freqency, still Warid is not confirming whether its 4G compatible or not... @zuhaibafzal

i called their helpline and they say that band requirement is LTE 2 and 1800 Mhz frequency but still they cant confirm abt Z3 compatibility as they dont have this set on their compatible sets list... The seller however claims that it works on Warid..

Warid and Zong are using band 3. Warid rep is literally jahil Awam. 1800mhz is band 3. If Z3 is band 3 supported than it should work without any problems.

It'll definitely work on Xperia Z3. If you have any doubt i would suggest you to visit Hafeez Centre and look for used Xperia Z3 and try it. But i'm sure LTE will work on it.

Upto my knowledge warid lte is working on 1700 mhz if someone has any knowledge could they please clarifiy coz when ever i check my samsung note 3 n 9005 it says it aint supported.
