@ Xcaliber Nice info on 3S series. I have done an MK1.5 swap and this engine is crazy like the old 1g 4G63t. Very strong robust. Im seriously waiting for the pistons to say bye bye but amazingly and Mashallah they are holding strong now im running around 1.2bars of boost with a gt30r.

I have a 3rg gen 3SGE here that i will be putting up for sale shortly..no ECU though. Its a little dirty right now but will clean up real nice.

I would like to bump this thread. I want interested members to keep the thread alive with information about the 3sgte in particular. I have been doing a lot of research on internet forums about the 3sgte. And I must say I am a big fan of this platform. I have done 2 projects with the 3sgte. One with my own Corolla Ae101 which has a 3sgte ST215 (4th gen) and one with a Celica St182 (3sgte ST 264). I have plans on upgrading my own engine with aftermarket stuff so I have recently purchased an engine with all I need:

HKS 272 cams
Valves, retainers, springs
Aftermarket oil pump
Coated pistons 9:1 compression
Ported and polished. BTW this is a 4th gen engine as well. I have also purchased a Garret GT30r ball bearing turbo with external waste gate. I intend to run my setup at around 20 or 22 psi for a power goal of around 350 bhp to the front wheels.

Any ideas or comments??

I am glad the thread is alive again Well since my last post I have gathered a huge amount of information on the 3sgte. So if anyone has any help required with their 3sgte do hit me up. As for the stock 4th gen swap well it isnt that expensive. Apart from the cost of the engine you require the usual assortment of parts for the swap such as mounts, axels, piping and I highly recommend investing in a FMIC. Add another 100k for parts and labour on top of the engine price. AWD means cutting and chopping the body. I am against that as the car loses its structural rigidity with cutting and chopping. All I need a straight line speed so FWD is good enough for me

I was surprised to find out that the 3sgte has now become rare in Pakistan and its hard to find any in good condition. I had to source a 3rd gen engine for my swap and I have now gathered tons of parts for it. InshAllah my build will start soon

I didnt get the kkg joke Yes I do have LSD. Its very important in a powerful FWD car. I do plan on getting some high performance tires once I have some money. Something like Yokohama Advan or Dunlop Re001. Swaps done by one and only Hassan Ustaad in Peshawar.

Well stock setup is best as daily driven. Get yourself the e153 gearbox it has a factory LSD and would be an easy fit for a corolla. I can get you a 2nd gen or 4th gen 3sgte. 4th gen from my own car and 2nd gen imported not locally used with complete uncut wiring. 2nd gen st185 good for 220bhp so faster then any stock NA car on the road.
