Let look at how Toyota Corolla Evolved thru out the year.

The first Corolla, as I have researched on the internet and as my memory serves me was introduced in 1966. Today the Most popular Car in Pakistan 2.0D is the 9th generation Corolla. See how it evolved slowly, from an ugly kid to a beautiful lady.

I think Pakistan had all of these EXCEPT the 8th generation. The GLI in Pakistan is 7th Generation, and New 2.0D is 9th Generation. So, we skipped One generation of Corolla, LoL.

First Toyota Corolla.

1st generation, Toyota Corolla 1966-69

2nd Generation, Toyota Corolla 1970-1974

3rd Generation, Toyota Corolla 1976-1979

4th Generation, Toyota Corolla 1979-1983

5th Generation, Toyota Corolla 1983-1987

6th Generation, Toyota Corolla, 1988-1992

7th Generation, Toyota Corolla, 1992-1997

8th Generation, 1997-2002

9th Generation, 2003 - Current.

hey datzburier, this 10th generation corolla is the jap model which is also in middle east countries. pakistan has the same corolla as in america.
and this tenth gen corolla ur talking abt, thats not the newest man cuz theyve changed the lights, u can see on www.toyotauae.com

I was not quite sure if Toyota has released 10th generation, that was just a speculation based on information retrieved. Toyota has a history of releasing slight variation in the same generation. i.e. the sports tuned Corolla, 1976-1979 has a quite distinct looks, as are many other Gens. Also European makes are slightly different. North American models are similar to Asian models. Plus in US, I think the Corolla sold here, looks similar to one Sold in Pakistan, but is smaller, or maybe in US most cars are large sedans, so the Corolla really looks tiny among other vehicles in the US market.
