Thnx a lot Asif bhai. bas aap se seekh rahay hain janab, warna hum kis qabil!
Water flowing in small streams of Mahodand is crystal clear
At almost farther end of Mahodand
Small wild flowers had started emerging in meadows
From this dhaba/restaurant, we had chicken karahi in lunch..which was unexpectedly not very costly. It costed only around 700 including chapatis. Probably less rush was major reason of low rates.
We had told the driver to take us to Lake Saifullah. The driver took us a little ahead of Mahodand and told us that this is Lake Saifullah. I think he was lying as i have already seen Lake Saifullah in 2000. It is a proper round shaped lake somewhat like smaller version of Lake Saiful Muluk. Anyways we didn't challenge him strongly.
Lake Saifullah (as per driver's claim)
Area around so called "Lake Saifullah".
On way back, we stopped for few minutes at Forest rest house of Kalam forest. It was almost dark, so i had to reduce shutter to as low as 1 sec. Hence sufficient light was captured
Kalam forest
Next day, i had to drive all the way back to Rawalpindi via Shangla pass. However, took few pics of kalam before leaving.
View of mankial mountains

and the last pics of kalam
From highest point of Shangla pass
Road of Shangla pass is outclass at most of the places. especially ascent from khwazkhela side a treat to drive.
nice to hear. it was too hot in lower swat in those days.
The actual beauty starts when we descent from Shangla Pass towards Besham/Alpuri side
Beauty of Shangla Pass
The road is just a beauty at most of the places
