Hahahaha. spot on brother. In fact i never wanted to disclose it but honestly it will be something like that , but exactly half its weight. The hard top UAZ weighs around 2000 kg's and i will be having a 4 door lwb in less than 900 kgs in finished form. And factually, there are very less 4X4's which come close to the capabilities of a UAZ. The issue is just of the weight. And that's why i believe keeping in view the weight, this project will hopefully be successful.

when you said folding top door's which sit on the door and sliding window glass first thing to come in mind was a UAZ. used to have one back in 2000s very versatile and extremely capable offroader. it was very agricultural though and very heavy. the only thing here is measure many times and cut once it should not add that much to the weight it already is so it will be an extremely capable offroader.

Oh yes. In the last 5 years, i have kept three UAZ vehicles and am a big fan of the brand.

Which motor are you going to put keeping in view 900 kg of weight and desired power? Is it going to be G13BB or M13AA or what? By the way I can feel the smell of diesel too because you were inquiring about 3CT couple of months ago, am I right?

This is a very very important decision to be taken. Basically i am of the opinion that it's never the bigger engine which helps in crossing any tough terrain but it's always a combination of different factors.
See these videos, all the vhicle running on a 2 stroke 439cc (just 28 bhp) and performing very fine. The first one is of my lj 50 with 660cc engine. So in the first stage, i will be just going for the extension, body work, 4 doors, a little wheel travel and will just run the existing 1000cc in it. Later if believed, will go either for the 1300cc or the diesel ones.

Although it will be too early to discuss the color scheme for the veh but i am curious to have a feed back from all. Remember, i am not going to have a fancy, full of shine color. It will be something matt finished which should not require regular cleaning. Should have wild, offroading, dirty type of looks preferably some outdoor type color suitable for my hunting also.
