I started out from Fort Bragg, CA and stopped at Bandon, OR.
Met Kenneth and his wife Rosetta outside Carl's JR in Eureka, old guy retired and has lived in Eureka for 48 years and met Rosey in Portland. We talked for about 20 mins about Pakistan and how I'm crazy to do this trip alone. He told me to be safe going north from Eureka cuz alot of elks are crossing the roads and it's super dangerous. And less then 20 mins I had to stop in the middle of the road because an elk was crossing. We discussed the route a bit and off I went. (he is wearing a cap with a bunch of badges on it in the picture)
Then I met a couple at the Oregon border who were going surfing in Alaska. I left them behind and a few hours later I come to the campground and there they were. We talked again for a while. They said they got a ticket right after Oregon border after they met me. Tough luck. I was too fast for them to gun me down. Haha.
They are in the campsite next to mine. Will try to take a picture tomorrow.
Nothing spectacular happened today but the coastal highway from Eureka to Bandon is mind boggling. It was like I'm on a racing track. The longest racing track I've ever seen, it never ends. It was like doing 150 laps of Laguna Seca. However in this race you could stop whenever you wanted to, take pictures, talk to locals or when super tired you could simply pitch your tent and go to sleep, and there would be no track marshals showing you red flags.
