I think all properties are on lease of 99 years even in Pakistan. I am not aware of these things that's why I am asking. Do you have any first hand experience with these properties?

In that case, invest in property in Canada, where ur family is. Why cant u do that? im sure u can get a small property of some kind for that much in Canada.
If u still insist on putting the money in Pakistan, just buy a plot in a newly developing area. They are cheaper to buy and returns are high after a few years, when ppl start moving to that area. u can get a 10 marla plot or sumthing like that. n after a few years, either sell it for profit or invest more money, construct a house n rent it out for monthly income AND capital gains.

Canada not an option anymore since I didn't get visa. What do you think about US? if I buy something and rent it out?

Yes it is totally safe to invest in DHA and many people who invest in DHA are overseas Pakistani's they make long term investments and get good gains in the period of 3 to 4 years.

We have some good options in the budget of 2 crore, you can invest in DHA Lahore Phase 6 its a hot location and prices will rise as DHA Phase 8 on the other side of road gets mature.
We have a 1 kanal plot in J block, number is 582 and the asking price is 190 lacs. (its under possession and the area is fully developed, ready to construct house).
