50 Gram Gold Bar Vs 100 Gram Gold Bar

Greetings!

Guys, I am looking to buy 50 gram gold bar due to safeguarding my savings, but when I asked from several jewellers, they said it's not available. Most of them are also suggesting me to buy 100 gram bar. I don't know why they are preferring 100 gram or 10 tola on 50 gram. Secondly, I am looking for a good gold bar brand like Sussie (PAMP) or ARY.

What do you think which brand should I prefer and should I go with 50 grams or 100 grams? According to few jewellers, 50 gram bar is not available in the market. Is it true? I am finding it in FSD.

Please come with good suggestions, I am very worried these days

Dont worry economy will get better now, no need to convert to gold.

@binyameen488 - care to elaborate on how the economy will get better? Has the government been able to expand the tax base, increase exports, restore investor confidence, reduce interest rates so private businesses can borrow, created jobs or any of the thousands of promises that every politician makes? The country has just signed the IMF deal, and the rupee-dollar rate will be governed by market forces. Expect the dollar, gold and every imported commodity to increase in price. hard times are coming, my friend!

If you can somehow get a relative friend or anyone coming from Dubai to buy ARY's pendant or bars for you, that would be the best decision. Here gold business is kind of shady and it's mostly risky. There's a gold jeweler in Karachi whose trusted by people eyes closed so may be find one in your city and buy from him.

I'm not doing this due bad economy. I want to have one as a long term investment. I think economy and regional situations will also matter here.

Currency value can be decreased anytime. Dollar can also be devaluated anytime. According to Hadias, it is better to do business or trade in gold or silver.

Same with gold it can appreciate/depreciate. Dollar never has gone down if you convert to PKR.

There were times when 1 PKR used to be 4000 Afghani Rupee.

Now 1 Afghan rupee is 1.82 rupees..

Gold is already at 72k per tola, dollar at 150. Is it wise to convert your cash to gold at this stage?

Don't buy gold as an investment or from a profit point of view. Buy gold because most probably it would get costlier in the future? by the time your kids are getting married so you'd have some on hand instead of buying at that time so buy gold as a sort of savings. And in case while this looks less likely, if somehow the paper money crashes gold and silver would be the only currency talking.

Not sure about the paper money but even if god forbid WE go bankrupt rupee value would be nothing compared to gold coins. So the best is to keep a little gold like may be of around 5-6 lacs depending on how much you can save and property is a whole different story. Do what you think is best for you.

Is it independent Afghan economy? No, they are being fed by US government. Yes, for sure, as Pakistani we must have to improve our economy. We are being hit by economic hitmans.
