One more thing happened last night.

As I was driving, I lost Power Steering, Alternator and AC. Car started heating up slightly and I stopped it. Went to inspect and found out that the belts were covered with oil (they were slipping probably), I towed the car back home. Upon further inspection found out that all fluids seem to be okay, asked a mechanic near the office. He couldn't find any leaks on the engine and said power steering ne "back" mara hoga. I've been advised to "chalao" and find out if it happens again.

Will go to jameel this wednesday, I am getting depressed now.

Went to Irshad, he fixed the tappet clearance, replaced a mount that had broken, replaced the heatercore bypass hose (as the old one was constricted), fixed the brakes.

After the adjustment, the car flies and the tappet noise is no more. It basically feels like new life has brought in to it.

However, just noticed a new issue. When I reached home, opened the bonnet to inspect the engine in like a few seconds the engine shut off (the ac was off). This also happened before I was turning in to my street, which I was holding low idle rpm to be the culprit and the ac was turned on at that moment.

if with AC it is ok, then perhaps idle rpm is low, it may need adjustment.

Happened once with AC, one without AC

Idle stop screw is untouched?

I am unsure, it also bogged down once while driving tonight. Pressed the accelerator but the car decelerated. Car also seemed to miss once on shahrah e faisal on normal cruising speed, as if there was less fuel.

Seems something related to electrical.

It Could Be IACV Acting up.....Do One Thing...Remove Battery Terminal +ve for 5mins and install back and let ECU relearn and adjust everything back...if terminal was removed during work and installed back...it could be IACV Or Some Vacuum Leak....get it inspected...

Went to Irshad again. Opened the distributor cap for inspection and found out that one terminal (carbon) was completely broken off. He fixed it and up till now the car feels even more smoother, quicker and the idle speed has settled. Hope the missing issue goes away as well.

What was my friend even doing with my car? 🥴

Also, is knocking sound common in this engine? Heard from someone else with the same car that yes it is.

Fixed It? Distributor cap should be replaces in case of broken terminal (carbon)

No. You might be referring to some other noise.

As per him, a replacement cap cost 2500 pkr. It also has aluminum terminals, whereas the original one had brass. He opted to fix it instead and deemed the one available of low quality.

After changing gear and accelerating, there is "karr karr karr" sound initially. Which is prevalent in many cars especially when gear is changed at low speed.

That looks like bogging. When you shift at a very low rpm and engine struggles, as it's out of powerband.
But you should check the ignition timing.
