I would like to share my previous experience of the road trips from Karachi to Islamabad & Northern areas, I had already traveled 4 times via road and just I have completed the 5th trip and given is the details of the trip.
Here are the details for your help.
1stTrip
- Suzuki Liana = Trip from Karachi to Islamabad (Night Stay in Mirpur Mathelo) - We hired the van for Murree, Nathia Gali.
2ndTrip
- Suzuki Cultus = Trip from Karachi to Naran & Kaghan (1st Night Stay in Mirpur Mathelo & 2nd in Islamabad)
3rd Trip
- Toyota XLI = Trip from Karachi to Lahore (20 hrs drive - 2 Drivers)
4th Trip
- Honda Aspire 1.5 = Trip from Karachi to Lahore, Islamabad, and Murree.
5th Trip
* Suzuki Ciaz = Trip from Karachi to Rawalpindi, Nathia Gali, Abbottabad, Hassan Abdal, and Lahore.
* This was pleasant trip again and successfully managed to visit Pindi, Nathia Gali, Hasan Abdal and Lahore cities. Although route via N5 & M4. (Karachi > Mirpur Mathelo > Multan M4 > Khaniwal N5 > M4 for the further journey is the best choice.
I managed to return the same day from Lahore to Karachi and started my journey at 5:03 am and reached Karachi directly at 10:30 pm as the only driver. N5 from Lahore to Karachi was totally clear with very less traffic and reached home after 17 hrs.
