Do consider LG too.
TCL is also a Good option. It's not that expensive as Sony or Samsung, and good at resale, but I personally like it.
And I think it's the same TCL company, which also make Blackberry smartphones nowadays.

Have 2 TCL smart TVs at home. Personally i would not recommend it. It lags and running the Youtube app is quite a task. very average sound, bad quality remote. Picture quality is good though.

Get sony or samsung. There is no match with their performance. They are lag free, you can switch through apps without delay and have excellent sound.

The Samsung K6000 55" i have is one of the best tvs ive ever used.

I never experienced a single lag in my 65 inch Tcl tv. The interface is also very smooth and zippy.
The only problem i faced till date was the Netflix tv application since tcl TV's don't have it in the playstore. It comes preinstalled from tcl company and i deleted it by mistake. Had to call the customer services to get it reinstalled.

Yes, it's true . Sony and Samsung are definitely better but look at the cost of a sony or a Samsung 65 inch TV. For tcls price it's pretty much reasonable .

+1 to the cost factor.

I have 2 TCLs: one new generation (with golden panels dont remeber model) and one older model. Both smart tv.

The older one's Youtube app is slow and very laggy. The newer model works fine but still it lags as compared to the Samsung and Lg I also use. Not to forget the very average sound quality and very flimsy remote with stupid buttons.

They are good budget TVs but if somebody is looking for quality and extensive use TCL is a big no.

Yes... Smart TVs mein lag k issues aa saktay Hain. Classical, non-smart TVs (LEDs, etc.) mein I guess, lags k issues nai aatay.
It also depends on the hardware and Internet connection speed.
Well... I personally do not like Smart TVs.
Agar aapnay FB ya YouTube TV p use karni Hai, I think then Laptops, Desktops, etc. Are intended for such use and they serve the purpose equally and efficiently well.
Even latest LEDs nowadays fully support USBs, HDMI and other medai, etc.

Well, i just have one TCL at home. I agree about the remote bieng really pathetic but it works just fine with no errors. Wish it was built better though. With three Samsung's and 2 Sony's at home i would definitely prefer either of them but with the huge cost difference in big sizes I'd say one should make a smart move. It's better to get a bigger sized Tcl rather then a smaller Samsung or Sony . Their warranty is also good and they respond nicely to your complaints.
I'd say again... i never faced the tiniest of lag in my tv and we use it extensively at home for watching HD content through Netflix , YouTube and an HD box attached with the TV. All in all in 139k. It's pretty much worth it.

Youtube on TV is very useful atleast for me. I play songs on youtube on TV all the time. Dont have to use laptop for that now. Even watch news channel live stream. My mother watches Dramas she has missed of different channels.
Not to forget Netflix.

A fast internet is all you need.

Yes price is the only thing which attracts alot of people including me.

As I said these are good budget TVs and do the job just fine.

TCL is awesome value for money but if you afford a higher series samsung then go for it.

Anyone got the TCL P6 - the one launched few months ago? I'm really tempted to buy it for my parents and will never use it for gaming etc.

I'm interested in Reliability, Picture Quality and decent sound.

Chalein ye to phir bohat achi baat hai.
I also do similar things, but through Laptop and connecting to TV through HDMI Cable and ports.

better buy chromecast. Connecting laptop is not hassle free.
