Let me clarify; I am not a professional but I gain knowledge through content over the internet and keep my self up to date. I am good with making custom bikes for the last 25 years but car has come into my life about 2 years ago.
about your problem; I guess your engine gets hot and after a little time when it gets cold, it could start but as long as it is hot, it does not start. What I presume could be the problem of a jammed radiator, water body, piping, and other related stuff. Coil has got nothing to wait for 5 minute type issues, it is only related to over heated engine. May be the engine oil is low in quantity or may be worn out.
There could be multiple reasons and I guess it is not wise to give you a fruitful advice without getting into details. My advice at this juncture would be to go visit a professional mechanic.
