Day 6: Our return trip is also spread over two days. On day 6, we leave Islamabad on our 2nd last leg of our trip. So after a very eventful day yesterday, we decided we would have a late breakfast so that we can depart by around 12:30pm. Shukar Alhamdolillah!
Our breakfast was at the guesthouse. We had chai, anda/omlette, paratha and toast with butter and jam. After naashta, we went to fuel up and to buy some packaged snacks for our journey. Our next stop would be Multan and at the same place, we stayed on our way up. I had already messaged the hotel about our intended arrival and anticipated it to be around 8pm.
The weather today in Islamabad was just amazing. Clear blue skies with heavy cloud cover over the hills, in the distance made a wonderful sight. The journey on the motorway is always a pleasure and the only stop we made was at Behra Service Area. All the famous brands from McDonald's, KFC, DD to Rahat bakery etc have a solid presence there. On great public demand, we treated ourselves to McDonald's.
We travelled on two different motorways, M2 from Islamabad and M4 to Multan. We connected to M4 from the Faisalabad exit. We reached Multan on time, checked in for our overnight stay, and luckily got the same rooms that we had earlier. For dinner, we ordered Multani pullao, Multani zarda and reshmi kebabs with roti.
