I've bought a RT 130 1980 Toyota Corona with a 7K efi installed. I'm getting an average of 8. Got my engine rebuilt as soon as I got it due to oil being burnt issues. There was smoke before and oil was being consumed, now that's fixed but the average is high, got it checked and found it hasn't got a matching ecu, it's 5e-fe ff/mt ecu. The electrician found some issues, the autochoke wasn't working due a faulty sensor, that he replaced which fixed the engine rpm at cold start. Next he attached a clip to the wiring of the vaccum sensor. He wired an O2 sensor in the ecu which was previously missing, and I got it's screw fitting welded in my exhaust ( which was also recently rebuilt with all new larger pipes with single silencer dholki in straight pipe configuration). Plus I should also mention it's got a 5 speed gear that I've been told is of a 1c/2c engine.
The average has only slightly improved but there is still some backfiring when throttle is let go, plus at low rpm the car rides like it's being choked, after certain rpm and speed the ride gets smoother. Does anyone know someone that can solve the issue?
