37820-PLL-D527th gen civic vti oriel prosmatic ECU required
For single or dual VTEC engine? I have Japanese single vtec one. Let me know if you're interested.
Brother, its complicated. But I'll try to put it as succinctly as possible . The engine is D17A (the JDM one [single vtec]). Then auto transmission is from the previous ( D15y3 [non vtec]) setup. The car drives fine and shifts smoothly on the d15y3 ecu. But obviously vtec doesn't engage because of the non vtec d15y3 ecu. Now the problem is that when the D17A ecu is plugged in ( its code is L4) there is quite a prominent jerk between the first 2 gears i.e both from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 1st. My scantool gives the DTC of D3 SWITCH FAILURE and another of the rear O2 sensor which I don't care about . So to circumvent this problem I am planning to install the dual vtec (vti oriel prosmatic) ecu aka pakistani kamputar. I guess that would leave me with just figuring out how to wire the second vtec solenoid that the new ecu would require.P.S. The wiring is uncut and was bought with the D17A engine.
So, what's the complicated part?
You don't need dual vtec Pakistani ECU. That isn't the right one for your application, and would be too expensive to buy. You need Japanese single vtec ECU and an O2 for sure.
Can you tell me the code of the single vtec ecu you have ? or a picture of it maybe ?

Bro do u have the ecu fr manual transmission as well or do u have any info on that as well.
This means I have to go meet the mechanic who swapped the D16W out with a D17A JDM (Assembly only)...I have 0 practical knowledge of cars.

That is the problem. There is no issue, apparently.I will surely have to look for issues and ask him how he managed the swap.I don't know if he replaced the ECU too or duck the issues after getting a D17A assembly swapped in place of a D16W.
@gravityy.boyy It runs good. Throttle response is awesome. Gear shifts are good (It's a prosmatec).
You won't have any problems because you have the ECU of D16W9/VTI ORIEL PROSMATIC (the ECU of your previous engine)/(the picture I posted above). Whereas, I cannot use my previous ECU of D15Y3( EXI PROSMATIC) as it was non VTEC. Its all a bit too complicated to explain. Therefore, to summarize, I am looking for the ECU you have right now @bilalakniazi
