No, not all have tech degrees, I know a lot of such people. Some are from software background, some are from arts, i even know a doctor who does this.

E.g you already know I am unparh and just do this as timepass

Sir i know its your descision , but wouldn;t it be better to get a more common , newer model car (civic,city,corolla, new yaris ) etc
If your concern is trouble free running i.e.
imo one should have a decent newer model car for daily running and when funds allow an extra fun vehicle .

I am afraid these lexus/crowns in this budget will then again lead to workshops , plus constant fear at the back of mind that one day it might leave you stranded with family.
