She is 30 year old beauty and I just bought her 5 months ago when summer was almost over.
Had driven around 10K in Winter and not heating issue at all.

Now she start reducing water everyday and it seems its time to pay attention to make her ready for summer.

By this weekend, going to do followings

Complete Radiator Service.

Replace New the Thermostat valve

Water Body Inspection. If need to fix, then will do it.

Replacing new Radiator Cap.

Replacing all the hose pipes and Connecting clumps.

Filling water and check for leaks for few days.

Opening the fan clutch and filling the Silicon Oil of recommended cst.

And finally filling the new Coolant.

Will keep posting all activities here one by one.

My Daily runner and my first Diesel vehicle

Engine is slightly weak but still OK for me because it gives ~7.5L/Km average. Can easily go upto 140 speed on highway/ring road.

Recently it started reducing water and now going to fix it.

the engine is weak and so is the head gasket
its blowing bubbles clearly

multi valve does a meter touch down with ease

you can rebuild and shove in imported sleeves in these big engines instead of over size pistons

Awesome thread. Really looking forward to further updates. Just one question though, why is there a big padlock on the battery and the coolant reservoir?

In recent years, 2 batteries were stolen from my vehicle while parked outside home. One time the thief cut the wires too and electrician charge heavy money while fixing it back.

So putting a Padlock seems the only way to save them because this car has two batteries.

Sad thing is that now these thieves break this padlocks also in many cases.
But lets assume that precautions are little bit safe.

This giant engine rebuild expense are 250K without labour. (Feel free to say….. “WOW”. Lol)
That’s why doing other tricks to keep it healthy. Lets see.

BTW, I guess these bubbles are due to bad radiator cap (not able to hold pressure or mal functioning T-valve which is boiling the water.

Gonna find it by this weekend.

Wow that's terrible. I am sorry for your loss but then you gotta do what you gotta do man. I'm sure this isn't the only spot on your vehicle where you have installed security measures

Well guys it took more than 14 hours for the radiator service, but finally no good results.
Eventually going for the engine rebuild.

But as I started this thread, hence posting some photos of the process taken.

Have decided to Dismantle the radiator in nearby workshop with the supervision of “Baba Mechanic”. Most of the work is done by me & myself. Baba jee was mostly helping when I am taking photos and supervising all the time.

So where we go

First of all have to remove batteries from both sides.

Unbolt the fan shroud and fan with 4 nutts tightly snugged. You need to pull like a man.

Very nice and easy, jiggle the fan and bring it out.
And it’s pully will be free too. Pull the pully also and put it aside.

Fan belt will come out.

And then you can see the bottom two hose lines connected with the radiator. These are lines of power gear oil.
So this radiator cools down the water and gear oil also.

And now we have to remove its water body.
Half of the water body is accessible with 4 nuts. But for rest 3 nut/bolts you need to open the timing belt cover
