This is the flexplate, the torque converter bolts to this. If it was bent then never ever hammer it straight as it will crack from the crank hub area. Replace it. A warped plate would also have caused a torque converter seal leakage as it will cause a disbalance.

This is a very comprehensive account of the rebuild. Will definitely help a lot of TLC owners who are looking for a cost effective solution for 1HD engine rebuild. I commend yohr efforts to put it together. Please keep sharing the progress during and after the break in period.

Ps. I missed whether it's a 12 or 24 valve engine. Kindly advise.

Pistons should be used new with new sleeves.
Rings must be of TP or Npr?

What about valves and valve guides in head?

Pistons were ART jpn it seems that engine was rebuilded before not the OEM pistons.
Megagrey is a robust sealant when it comes to pan sealing and other stuff i love to use it engine pan and timing case sealing.
It hardens like rock but RTV is like a fluffy rubber upon contact on heat.
